Streisand's 1987 third live album was recorded at a benefit concert at her Malibu, California home on September 6, 1986. At the time it was her first full-length concert in twenty years. Barry Gibb appears on a duet of "Guilt". All proceeds from the sale of the album went to her non-profit Streisand Foundation which supports charitable organizations committed to antinuclear activities & the preservation of the environment, civil liberties & human rights.

Very Good.
I have a number of Barbra Streisand CDs, Live, studio album and compilations. She excels live in my view BUT some are weighted towards cabaret and show tunes which aren't really my bag. This CD isn't so much like that and has some of her non show tunes on it. And crucially for me a duet with Barry Gibb of Guilty and What Kind Of Fool from my fave Streisand album Guilty which I think is her masterpiece and not only one of my faves of her music but overall.I do wish she would cut the talking down between songs, its not that bad on this album fortunately, I find this a problem with some live albums especially when its excessive talking like with Sinatra At The Sands. Yet in contrast I like the talking on some like The VH1 Storytellers live album with Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, their banter between songs adds to the album in their case.

REVIEW OF CD ONE VOICE (SUPER)
I was so glad i found this CD ONE VOICE by Barbra Streisand, its the great standard we all expect from her. Like the title only one voice can sing the songs on CD eg. The way we were and Evergreen so beautifully sung, Singing the song Guilty with Barry Gibb is a good change, Her voice is so distinctive with that smooth high and low notes. A great CD if you like Barbra Streisand this is a great choice, great sound and is recorded live on stage 1986 she looks gorgeous on the cover. BUY IT great value for money by zoverstocks

Es gibt wohl kaum eine weibliche Stimme, die so wunderbar vielfältig, so sauber und klar und vor allem so einzigartig ist wie die von Barbra Streisand. Vor mehr als 25 Jahren hatte ich mir die Schallplatte gekauft und rauf und runter gehört. Instrumentation und Interpretation sind in meinen Augen - äh, Ohren - die besten. Dieses Life-Konzert ist einmalig. BS spricht auch zwischendurch, macht Anmerkungen zu ihren Liedern und zu bestimmten Themen, die uns alle angehen. Es ist ein buntes Potpurri aus mehreren Jahrzehnten. Special Guest: Barry Gibb von den Bee Gees singt zwei Duets mit ihr. Ich habe sie mir fürs Auto auf CD gekauft, um mal wieder laut mitsingen zu können...
