Bet you're surprised at the heading! Well the squirrels are eating my bird food. I don't really begrudge them but they just eat so much and it ends up costing too much. I read that squirrels don't like chilli but the birds can't tell the difference. I used a small jar like you would use in your home cooking and tried sprinkling it at the feeder holes, but that wasn't terribly successful and would work out very expensive so I thought I'd buy it in bulk and mix it in with the feed to deter them. This 1 kg bag should last a while I reckon.

I've been adding a tablespoon of chilli powder to stews I cook, mostly using supermarket products, which tend to be smaller sizes and quite expensive. I purchased this chilli powder, keep it in a jar on my work surface, beside some tomato powder, and when I do my stew I pop a tablespoon in :-) it is a large stew, giving a nice kick to a basic meal :-PI would comment that I am adding less of this chilli powder to my stews than I had to add of the supermarket varieties, it, in my view, being stronger and if I'm honest a better taste, so I'm very happy with this chilli powder.

This package is hugely underweight at 726g when it should be 1KG as shown in the listing and stamped on the package label.

great quality, I'm huge into my spices. You'll need some sort of container or zip seal bag to store the turneric in as the bag hasn't got a zip seal on it. I try to add turmeric to as many dishes as I can for its health benefits but I also enjoy the colour

I love smoked paprika and thought it was impossible to have too much. I was wrong, a kilo is pushing it, I'm getting a bit fed up of it. But then when I see how much a small jar is in the supermarket I remember why I bought a kilo.It'll probably last longer than the flavour but still better value than the jars by far.

good quality sage, which I use for cooking and also for making into a healthy, healing herbal tea. Brilliant for sorting out tummy issues, brilliant as a gargle for sore throats or bactericidal mouthwash. Just simmer 1tablespoon in small milkpan of water, until a golden colour, cool down and use. Gives heavenly smell all around the house, whilst simmering! Lovely

I've bought cayenne pepper in the past and it's made from spicy cayenne and I use it because i like very spicy food. This one is a mix of paprika and chilli powder and isn't spicy and it isn't even what it's advertised to be. And it's very pricey for what it is.

Debated as to whether I should buy in such bulk, but as it was xmas just decanted half into smaller 50g bags as extra pressies which worked well and so much cheaper than supermarket stuff. A very cheap but well received present. Very happy with the aromatic and tasty mix, now I've got loads I am using more in my cooking so a win win situation. Was packaged and labelled well.
