How long does the continuous setting last? My current machine lasts 10 hours on the continuous setting.

This one has a continuous setting which lasts all night until I turn it off myself.

Is this a white noise machine for adults?

Hi, Thanks so much for your great support. This white noise mahcine is suitable for people of all ages. Putting babies to sleep, helping adults relax, and alleviating tinnitus in the elderly. If there is any other problems, please feel free to contact us via email: support@mydreamegg.com, we're happy to help you solve the problem. Hope my answer helps!

Can this be swiched on using the power socket only, or does the power button also need to be pressed? (Ie; compatible with remote controlled sockets)

I have never used a remote socket, in fact did not know they existed, but I am 80 years of age!!! I plug mine in, when needed press the switch, not too difficult, have fun, Kim

How do you know what type of noise is playing? I’ve been recommended to try brown noise

Brown noise is like thunder or heavy rain. There is a setting for that.
