The fit is perfect as with all Gradual products, I’m slender and a true 34.5” waist and these size 34 fit perfectly. Not sure if this brand would fit someone with large stocky thighs, maybe. Elastic is only on the sides and does allow for next size up such as a 35” waist could wear this 34” size. New they’re a smooth poly look, not like organic natural faded cotton which some prefer, but I think this synthetic material can fade in, show some distress and have a more worn-in look just by washing and wearing. One thing for sure, if you live in a warm to hot humid climate, you’ll love how cool and comfortable these are.
