Music lessons cost a fortune, this is the book my budding rock star children need to make the grade and is always cheaper on Amazon than from our local music shops. I look forward to an easier life on their success.....

Covers the ground needed to pass the rock school exam at grade 4, and does so in a friendly and straight forward way.It is harder however to assess how good a book it is overall compared to the competition. It is required for the Rockschool exam. Ie you have to show the book, and get it signed, presumably so it can't be used for the exam by someone else.That means a) it has no second hand value, which affects the value for money. (What happens if you have more than one in the family who is taking their grades. Does reach have to have their own new copy?)b) you HAVE to have bought the book inorder to sit the exam. In addition to the examination fee that is. (Seems to me that the exam should be a test of competence, however acquired. Not a test of whether you have purchased their book?)

I bought this for my grandson who is studying and playing guitar. He uses it a lot and I can hear how much he has progressed. I would recommend this to serious musicians.

Would be better if son actually could be bothered following it and taking the exam... But would work if he did!

This book helped me become a better player and I took the grading and passed with distinction! I would recommend this if you want to become a better player!

Really good to get under your fingers

My daughter has devoured this book. She is studying GCSE music and loves using this book. It came recommended by the teacher. Rightly so.
