This glass feeder is not just a sweet-looking feeder. The glass dish nestles into the sturdy metal stand very securely. It might be very difficult for it to fall out . The flowers have small holes that probably make this feeder bee-proof . The twig and leaf design metal perches are really artful . It's easy to clean. It is also exactly what I was looking for for feeding nectar to hooded orioles. What makes this feeder "exactly what I wanted" requires some explanation, so please bear with me. I have a lot of hummingbird feeders, and at certain times of year I have 50+ hummingbirds visiting at sunset . I tend to use quart sized feeders so I don't have to fill them all every day. In the spring there are orioles , more every year. They can drink from some of my feeders but not the ones that are bee-proof because those holes are too small for their beaks. I discovered that the orioles like to drink from the center wells( "ant wells") on the regular feeders, which is why they were always empty. I started deterring the ants by putting sticky stuff called Tanglefoot on the hooks I suspend the feeders from, and filling the ant wells with nectar . Those tiny ant wells don't hold much though . The orioles like to dip bugs and worms in the sugar water and they use it up quickly. I am using this Nature's Way feeder without the lid on it. It took the orioles a few days to figure it out, but now they are dipping their worms in it and drinking from it. It holds a lot of nectar so I only have to fill and clean it every couple of days. Towards the end of summer when the bees run out of flower nectar they can get interested in my nectar feeders, and at that point I might have to put the lid back on this little glass feeder. The orioles will have to drink from the regular feeders (sorry orioles!) But maybe not. This summer I am going to try a new thing, putting out a feeder away from the others, just for the bees . I bought a perforated cap that will fit a small mason jar : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G8LCX8V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 I will fill the jar with extra-strong sugar water , use wire to suspend it upside down and see if the bees will go for it. I think they'll like it because it will be easier and safer for them. We'll see. Ultimately, even for hummingbirds! , this is a charming and beautifully made bird feeder. I noticed that these reviews are for various feeders, so I thought I should add an image to show which one I am talking about. This isn't one that lights up. The orioles are skittish, so I couldn't include one in the picture for you.

Update: 2 years later. Still looks like new. Love it! Highly recommend. Glass, so I’m expecting it to not fade. Sturdy. 1 cup of liquid fills it. Hummingbirds regularly visit. Easy to clean. Raccoon knocked down my PREVIOUS feeder, broke the plastic connection at top of unit (it was a well-rated unit). This feeder has all metal connections so I’m expecting longevity and great looks for years. Very happy with this feeder.

No wasps or bees and no leaky sticky base. I paired mine with a glass ant moat and it's perfect. They are a breeze to clean and refill. Be sure to line up the feeder ports with the perches, the hummingbirds do appreciate getting to sit and sip. I have several of these beautiful feeders, they are most attracted to the red one.

I purchased the red glass hummingbird feeder. It arrived in a plain brown box with with printed info and directions. I noticed at the time that I unpacked the feeder that the lid and silicone gasket didn't seem to fit, but tried it out. After washing it and filling it with perhaps one cup of nectar, it was leaking the nectar and I couldn't figure out where the leak was coming from. I tried several times with as little as 1/3 Cup of nectar and it always leaked. I can only guess that perhaps the flower feeding ports were too low on the blown glass side and that the feeder was leaking from the flower ports. It was a constant drip and I couldn't find what caused the leaking problem. I searched through all the Amazon reviews to see if anyone else had any problems with leaking nectar, and found nothing. Since I was unable to keep it from leaking all the nectar, I called Amazon to request a return and replacement, and I am so happy I did! The replacement feeder came in a printed box with the same general info, and the lid and gasket fit perfectly. When i added nectar to the feeder it didn't leak at all. It is a beautiful red glass and I had no further problems. I like the glass feeder better than the plastic versions because it is much easier to clean and it doesn't bother me that it holds less nectar than plastic feeders. If there is any drawback to this feeder, it is the metal hanging basket and chains. It may be difficult to place the glass feeder in the basket so it is level if the feeder isn't seated completely or if the chains are not set up correctly. My only other comment that is not a problem for me, is that on the replacement box it states the flowers are aluminum and they are plastic as stated in the listing. It is a beautiful hummingbird feeder, leak free, and I am happy to watch the hmmingbirds come to feed!

Qualité incroyable, très belle à regarder, j’attend la venue des petits colibris. Je vous conseille d’acheter également une tulipe pour éviter les fourmis. Mise à jour: les colibris l’adore et elle ne coule pas!
