MASSJOY Resin Dinosaur Velociraptor Piggy Bank, Boy Birthday Present.

I looked at a lot of banks for an 8 year old and we settled on this one that reminded him of the velociraptors on Jurassic World, I think. I was surprised he didn't want a t-rex bank at first, as he loves tyrannosaurs but this is really the only one we looked at that he was impressed with.It is good looking and stands well. The bank is a nice height and is nicely proportioned. It won't hold as much money as say..a soda pop can...maybe 3/4 of that. So keep that in mind.The paint job is pretty nice with good colors and the claws have a bit of a shine as do the eyes. The rest of the bank is more matte. When I looked closely there was a small amount of glue or some shiny stuff in a couple tiny spots. It is clear so it was not really noticible unless you are about to do an amazon review. :)One of the things I liked about the bank is that it isn't too mean looking AND it doesn't look babyish. It is perfectly in-between. You can imagine it is almost smiling...before it snags it's prey!The opening on the dino's belly is tricky to operate. It is made of medium black plastic that has to be lined up just right. That can be a plus or not. We won't be opening it all the time so it's fine for us. We really like it!

This was a gift to our 5 year old grandson who so loves dinosaurs & is so excited to now begin save his money! The weights solid, the coloring is great….. would recommend this as a gift….
