Builder gel is great but the white is not white. Looked like a horrible yellow on my nails.

I honestly love all BIAB alternatives that are more affordable to the general public but i have seen a lot of people running into issues with mylee such as contact dermatitis. I am a qualified nail technician and I can confirm that while the actual product is not harmful IF CURED CORRECTLY, it is sometimes impossible for products to cure properly with the wrong lamp or due to the colour. As this is a solid white biab, the LED light may not be able to penetrate correctly and could cause a lack of curing. So be careful but do enjoy the product

Mylee have a deservedly good reputation for nail products. I’ve used this UV-curing builder gel before as a glue with false nails, but this time round I thought I would try it directly on my real nails as a protective coating. It went on easily and looked lovely and glossy once cured. This set contains two generous 15ml bottles, one in clear and one in white. I used the white which does make your nails look slightly paler but because it is transparent, it’s a relatively subtle difference. However I soon found there was a slight issue in that it peels off very easily, especially where there is a rough patch. It does self-level fairly well and where it had gone on totally smoothly, there doesn’t seem to be an issue, so I will try re-doing the damaged nails. I like the idea that it can protect your nails as I do worry about drying mine out with various craft activities, gardening, false nails, etc. I do know that it works well to seal nail art and suspect I was just a bit careless with it, I’ve also got used to painting nail tips rather than directly onto my own nails so it’s a slightly different process! Overall the nails that have come out well look really nice, so I suspect I just need a wee bit more practice to master this.

This made my nails feel stronger whilst wearing. It wore well. It is a similar consistency to Mylees other polishes, slightly thicker and sticky.The white shade is not white though, it’s a milky colour, I personally wouldn’t wear this alone.

This will be my last gel product as with recent health concerns over gels I’ve decided to cease using them (Gel nails: Investigation launched into gel polish allergic reactions). As a person who is atopic and has an awful lot of allergies I simply don’t want to take the risk. Very disappointed as I really like dressing up my nails, but I simply don’t want to continue with the risk.

The media could not be loaded.  These gels are very easy to work with, especially if you are only doing overlays on your natural nails. If doing extensions you will need a bit more experience to work very fast while creating the nail shape before the gel starts running down the sides.If you check the video it is very visible when using the while gel that it was already beginning to flood down the side while I was still building the tip, and that was only a few seconds.Clear gel: Very easy to work with and comes out smooth and clear, when I first cured it for 1min under LED lamp it was still slightly cloudy in some parts, if that happens you need to cure it more.It does get bubbles, especially depending on what application technique you use but they are very easy to manipulate out.The clear gel is very strong and doesn't bend - as shown in video.Milky white gel: This gel was much harder to work with than the clear, it seemed to run a lot faster than the clear one.The white color is about 50% opacity white, you can see the natural nail through it even with a thicker layer.The milky gel is just as durable as the clear one so it is suitable for extensions, but personally I will only be using it as a colour coat since it's kind of a waste to use it for extensions and I rather keep it for milk bath or other milky white designs.My conclusion is that I would recommend these gels, they are very versatile and can be used as overlays, nail glue, for nail designs or extensions, even if you are a beginner you will figure out ways to use them to get the nails you want.

This 5 in 1 builders gel comes in a pack of 2. There is a white and a clear one included. Each of the bottles contain 15ml of gel inside. The bottles also have two different lids to represent what colour is inside making it easier to pick out when needed.As the gel is a 5 in 1 it is a little thicker than normal nail polish but it flattens out nicely and once it is cured it has a really nice hold too. The gel cures in around a minute under UV light. It is very easy to use and the instructions are easy and clear to follow too.I think they might be a little costly for 2 bottles for some buyers, however the quality is really nice and they work well.
