Review: Mine works and I enjoy it. - I've had this clock about 2 weeks and it's working fine. It helps me with getting distracted and losing track of time, and I'm learning some bird songs I didn't know. The small size of the version I ordered isn't a problem for me. For telling time--there aren't any numbers on the clock face anyway, so you'd go by the relative position of the hands, and that can be seen from across a large room. It's not a big display clock, though; it's a little bit over the height of a cheap paperback book. Mine has the green rim, which you could call "forest green," and it's a cute little accent. It plays even on a cloudy day where I have it, about 5 feet from a south-facing window. It doesn't activate at night when there's just light from the next room over, but it will if you put it next to a lamp that's turned on. I can hear it from 2 or 3 rooms away; I think they chose a good volume. The sound quality is good enough although one of the songs sounds kind of "cheep." :)

**Q: How to increase or decrease volume of chirping? it is very faint**
A: The volume is determined by the amount of light in the room where you have the clock.

**Q: Is the cover glass**
A: I just tapped on the cover and I think it's plastic.   The tapping doesn't sound the same as when I tap on a glass window.  That's my best guess.

**Q: is this made in America?**
A: It is assembled in the US with cheap  parts made in China.

**Q: how can I turn off the bird sounds if I want it quiet during the day or night?**
A: In the back of the clock are two battery compartments, one for the clock hands & one for the bird sounds. Remove the battery's from the bird sound side.

Chirp! The clock is very attractive and the birdy sounds delightful. As Pandemic born bird watchers this is a wonderful reminder to breathe and appreciate nature. We’ve had ours for over a year and love it. Have given it as a gift and it is always well received. It doesn’t activate overnight so it won’t keep you awake. Time flies! Buy it!!!
