We call these the "magic pills." My husband and I will occasionally have a couple beverages too many and realize that the morning might be a bit rough but not if we take a few of these with a glass of water before bed. I wake up feeling fine. No headache, no queesy stomach. Great for camping when you find yourself day drinking in the heat. This liver cleanse is great. I have had no side effects from them at all.

If you like to party, but hate the morning after you NEED this supplement. I absolutely hate hangovers. I use this product in combination with Party Smart, Flyby, and Liquid IV. I wake up feeling like I didn’t drink anything the day or night before. I am writing this review while on vacation and my alcohol consumption has increased dramatically. My secret is three Flyby’s before any alcoholic beverages, one party smart sometime during the day, three more Flyby’s at night when I stop drinking, and two to three DHM’s before bed. The results have been amazing. I wake up feeling NOTHING as far as hangovers are concerned. No headache, no grogginess, no foggy feeling, no nothing. I’m ready to party again. I hit the gym first thing in the gym first thing in the morning and crush it. I’m in my 40’s so my hangovers have been really really bad if I don’t take these supplement. You might think that’s a lot of supplement to take but the ends justify the means and I despise hangovers as I am completely useless the next day. I can drink beer, wine, mixed drinks, whatever. I swear by this supplement regiment while consuming anything alcoholic. Just bear in mind, you have to stay hydrated. Water consumption is a must. A Liquid IV plus DHM before bed works wonders. I only drink like this on vacation. When I’m back in the real world, I only drink once a week. A few IPA’s on Friday after work. These supplements are a Godsend, with the added benefit of not putting on the extra body weight that comes when consuming high caloric alcoholic beverages. I will not be without these supplements EVER. They will be part of my life at all times because I like to party ever now and again. Give this a try, You will thank me later.

I’ve tried a few different supplements for recovery and this one actually makes a difference. I take a capsule before drinking and sometimes another before bed. The next morning I don’t feel groggy and my energy is much better compared to when I don’t take it. It’s not a magic cure but it definitely takes the edge off and makes a real difference.

I consider myself a casual and responsible drinker of alcoholic beverages, most often consuming 1 or 2 drinks with a meal once every week or two. Occasionally however, I have the opportunity to indulge a bit more (when I don’t have the responsibility of driving or working the following day). For about the past three years, I have gotten in the habit of using this product (Dihydromyricetin) during my periodic consumption of alcoholic beverages on these occasions. I generally take one tablet before my first drink, then one more for every 2-3 subsequent alcoholic beverages. I additionally try and consume water concurrent with my alcoholic beverage consumption. I have found that this product (along with staying hydrated) greatly reduces or altogether eliminates the headache and nausea commonly felt the following day (the hangover effect). It also seems to eliminate any ill effects felt during the time consuming the alcoholic beverages. The one thing it does not seem to help is fatigue that might result from overindulging; but considering the benefits I’ve found, that is a relatively small inconvenience.

I enjoy wine when I go out, but it makes me sluggish and queasy the next day. I took a dose 30 min before imbibing, no issues, actually it kept me feeling energized and clear minded. No nauseau, no headache. This is a product that performs and perfect for vacations, celebrations.

Nothing to do with your liver. It blocks alcohol from working on your gaba receptors by binding to them. Also completely reverses gabas tolerance to alcohol caused by repetitive exposure/withdrawal. So it helps you sleep normally without alcohol related sleeping disturbances. Take hours before and immediately after you stop drinking and sleep like a baby!!! Note you won’t get the same buzz drinking and you’ll notice less anxiety after you slow down. You’ll drink less in result.

Two things to be clear about: 1) this is not going to cure an existing hangover, and 2) you're not going to feel perfect the next day if you spent all night doing vodka shots, no matter what pill you take. But I now take this before bed every time I drink. I take the higher recommended dose, two pills for every three drinks, and do it within an hour of when I stop drinking. If I drank excessively, instead of being a non-functional disaster the next day, I'll just feel moderately hungover and go about my business. If I drank more responsibly, I'll just feel a bit fuzzy brained instead of properly hungover. It seems expensive at times, but I'd gladly spend $20 to improve even one particularly bad hangover, and a $20 bottle of this works for several! Works wayyyyy better than hangover "cures" like the Morning Recovery shots - they just don't have enough DHM (although their other ingredients are probably still worth taking for liver health etc). (One other note - if you take these throughout the night while you drink, you get less drunk. This is helpful when, for example, you're visiting your boyfriend's family and they do very heavy wine pours and you want to avoid embarrassing yourself by getting wasted.)
