NOONI Korean Lip Oil - Applepeony - pH Color-Changing Plumping Lip Gloss

I really like this lip oil. It feels hydrating and comfortable on my lips, and the color is really pretty. It gives me that juicy, glossy look without feeling like I have a heavy product sitting on my lips. And apparently I liked it a little too much because I ended up buying four different colors. I love having the different shades depending on what kind of look I’m going for. The fruity scent is also such a fun little bonus. It smells like a juicy green apple, which makes putting it on feel extra nice. Hydrating lips, pretty color, glossy finish, and a little apple moment? I’m into it.

I found it a little too watery at first, and the Appleplum shade looked almost clear, so I wasn’t sure about it. Then I decided to give it another try, and I absolutely love it! The appleplum shade actually adjusts to my lips, and after a few moments it transforms into the prettiest bright pink. The color looks amazing on me and instantly makes my face look fresher and more youthful. It also makes my lips look noticeably fuller and very juicy. The shine is absolutely beautiful! It’s not sticky and very lightweight too. One important tip: you really don’t need to apply much! The first time I applied too much, it felt too watery and started to run. With just a small amount, it looks perfect and gives such a beautiful glossy finish. The second oil, Appleberry, doesn’t change the color of my lips, but it has a lovely tint and stains the lips very well too. I’m glad I gave this lip oil a second chance!

I purchased all four and I'm here to break it down for you. This is a listing for four related, but fairly different products. Like you, I looked at the descriptions of "hydrating and plumping and smoothing and etc etc etc" and said, "yeah yeah yeah, you put different colors and flavors in them, but they're all the same thing." NO. 1. Appletea is the most "lip gloss" like out of the four - I'm guessing this is the "hydrating" component. A little thicker and stickier than the rest. "Flavor" (these are unsweetened) is meh, the green tint doesn't seem to affect natural lip shade in any remarkable way. This one is a 3/5 for me. 2. Applecoco is a true lip oil, none of that lip gloss stickiness here. The flavor is nice, very vaguely summery. The tint is super neutral. This one is a 4.5/5 for me, my fav of the four. 3. Applemint is very similar in formula to the Applecoco as far as the oil vs gloss thing goes, BUT while it only seems a little minty in smell and taste that BURN sets in. It feels like one of those venom lip plumpers that were so popular 10 or so years ago. The feeling dissipates in 3-5 mins and did seem to pump up the volume a little bit. The blue tint initially made my lips a little pale, but the, uh, "plumping effect" made them flushed. 3.75/5. 4. Appleberry is almost a different beast here. Similar lip oil formula feel to the Coco and the Mint, but the color in this one is an actual lip tint/stain. Yes, STAIN. Not "branded for life" stain, but it's not going to wipe right off. This will be a perk for some people. Others want something more ephemeral. Just know that this has a color deposit, and it's an Asian/K-Beauty red which is generally more of a coral (e.g. a little orange-y). Not the best shade for me without a tan, but for someone else it's gonna be the best. Solid 4/5. General notes here: 1. These are smaller than you're expecting, but they last pretty long. I bought the Applecoco towards the end of January 2021, wear it almost daily, and still have some left (as of Oct 21). 2. The doe foot applicator is stiffer and less soft than I've come across in other lip products. You will live, but be aware if that's a deal breaker for you. 3. I've seen a lot of people say this gets leaky in purses and the like. I've only thrown it in a purse maybe once (I'm a cosmetic display kinda gal), so I guess if you need it on the go close that sucker tight and keep the little box it comes in to put it in to be safe (no spilled lipstick in mom's Valentino purse). This is the longest Amazon review I've ever written in my life. If you actually read it, I'm happy to have been this involved in your selection of lip product. Peace.

This is an effective lip stain. It goes on wet and glossy but not sticky. I recommend putting 2 coats on your lips and then blotting it off immediately with a tissue so you don’t accidentally wipe it on your clothes. No scent or flavor. Do not put too many wet coats on your lips because it may drip. It can also stain your teeth when it is wet so check your smile when you are applying to make sure it does not touch your front teeth. I think this is a good base color to put on at the beginning of the day. Use this to “draw” your lips on in the morning. You can apply a different colored lip gloss over this. I have the Appleberry and the Applepeony lip oils. I thought the Applepeony would be a softer pink. It looks the same as Appleberry. Both look like a berry red. I would recommend that you buy the Appleberry only if you like a bright berry red color. Throughout the day, the color will fade into the opposite of a popsicle effect. The color stays on the outer parts of the lip like lip liner and there is little to no color on the inner part of the lip (the part that is closer to your teeth). Swipe on a coat concentrated on the inner part of the top and lower lip in the middle of the day to freshen up the color. My lips always become dry after a while, so I always have Aquaphor available. I recommend. The price is reasonable. It works as a lip stain. UPDATE: After using this for a while, I’d rate it 2 stars. The color is too bright for my small lips. I feel that it emphasizes how small my lips are. You cannot use this gloss to line your lips accurately because it is too goopy. To get fuller lips, tracing your natural lip line with a lip pencil/liner is the best way to go. You can put a touch of highlighter on your Cupid’s bow and a tiny bit of contour color under your lower lip to emphasize the shadow and help your lower lip look fuller. Pop some lip gloss like Neutrogena lip gloss on the fattest parts of your lips (middle of the bottom lip and middle of upper lip near Cupid’s bow) and you are good to go. Note that the packaging for this goopy gloss leaks. Maybe it was my fault and I did not close it tightly, but I ended up with goopy lip gloss in the ziplock bag I had stored this in. This will stain, so be careful if you want to put this in a nice purse or clutch because you might end up with streaks of lip stain on the inside of your bag if this leaks.

I've tried several shades in this lip oil line (Appleberry, Appleblacktea, Applecherry, Apple Cranberry, and Appleginseng), and while they all have slightly different ingredient blends and scents, they behave very similarly on the lips. The base formula across all of them is consistent, lightweight, and like a gloss and oil hybrid that leans more cosmetic gloss than hydrating oil treatment. Each version does include different extracts (berry, cherry, cranberry, ginseng, etc.), but the biggest thing to note is that they all develop into a very similar bright pink stain after application. The initial tint may look different in the tube, but once it settles, the end result is nearly identical across all shades. I was especially excited for Appleblacktea and it wound up being irritating with the capsicum pepper extract in its formula, and it turns the same hot pink shade on my lips, looking nothing like the cool toned purple it appears as in its tube. None of them have a super flattering shade on me. Several versions / flavors include plumping or stimulating ingredients like ginger or capsicum (pepper), which can cause a warming or tingling sensation. Appleblacktea was a bit too irritating for my lips, personally, so those with sensitivity may want to check the ingredient list closely. If you're choosing between shades, I'd recommend focusing more on the scent and ingredient profile rather than expecting dramatically different colors. All the shades look similar on the lips, so you don't really need more than one. Of the ones I've tried, Appleberry seems to have the most botanical oils and fragrance, Appleblacktea has chili pepper for extra tingling and plumping, Applecherry is loaded with peptides, Apple Cranberry is a bunch of fruit extracts and a slight tingle from ginger oil, and Appleginseng is the same base formula with ginseng added in. It is an okay fruity gloss, but worth understanding that they all turn a "universal hot pink" type of shade rather than giving a tint similar to what you see in the tube.

I got the apple/rosehip one, which felt a bit spicy when I put it on, and the apple/cranberry, which was less so. There definitely IS a plumping effect, but not a scary extreme one. Disclaimer, I have recently had a little bit of lip filler, which I know can impact plumper results, but I felt like they were still pretty puffed up with the apple/rosehip option! The applicator is fine, although I've had to double dip or flip the wand over to get enough product for both lips. I'd definitely describe it as a tacky gloss rather than an oil, but it doesn't stay sticky for long. It feels hydrating and has a nice shine while it's wet, and once it's absorbed my lips are soft/smooth. It leaves a nice pinky stain behind; there isn't a huge visual difference between the two colors I have, though, wet or absorbed-- I see others giving the same comment and I think they may all just be that "pH adjusting lip gloss" shade of pink. I like this product and have tossed one of them in my purse to carry around. I don't know if I'll buy any more until the ones I have run out, because as I said the shades don't seem that different, but I would repurchase once the tube is gone.

I give it two stars rather than one, because people who like brightly colored, sticky shiny lip GLOSS ....are likely to love this product. Clearly I'm in the minority as I see so many positive reviews on this product here on Amazon. Maybe it's young teens who are going wild over this lip gloss? Unless you want bright bold NEON PINK shiny lips to be the first thing people notice when they see you......don't buy this product. Maybe young teens want their lips to be the brightly "painted looking" focal point on their face. In which case, this is the perfect product for them. This product is certainly NOT for mature, aging women with wrinkly lip area, who don't want lips to be the bold focal point of the face. I like my eyes to be the focal point of my face, and my lip product is to add a natural tint & moisture to aging, pale lips. IMO, If a person wanted bold, full color on lips, one would purchase a lipstick, not a tinted lip oil. And then one would be able to choose a color that works for that individual. This product doesn't give us a color choice. From reading many other reviews, it seems that no matter which color you choose.....it will turn bright neon pink on the lips. This nooni lip oil is the opposite end of the spectrum from "natural looking". Which of course, may be perfect for some.....but it should be marketed as a "bright shiny lip stain".....not a tinted lip oil. I'm returning. Love Amazon for the easy returns. Looks like costume make-up on me. If you're going to try it out anyway.....try it out on a day you intend to stay home.....because it's embarrassingly bright pink, and I wouldn't be caught dead with it on at an important meeting. And it doesn't come off when you wash your lips. Hope it fades to semi natural looking by tomorrow when I have to "look professional" for work.

This stuff works well! It goes on smooth and makes my lips feel very hydrated-not sticky at all. It stays put and doesn't bleed into my lip lines- or surrounding skin and gives a rich pigmented color, it's very glossy and lasts about 4 hours per application. I used two coats here and you can see it's a pretty dramatic change in the color of my lips & definitely makes them look plumper. The first picture is with no gloss on, there is also a picture of a napkin showing how much it transfers if you dab it off. & Then the color that is left when you dab the gloss away. The tube is small but a little guess a long way, I have been using it everyday for a few weeks and still it's at least 3/4 full so it's a good value for the price & The applicator makes it very easy to use and leaves no gloss/oil around the top of the tube I'm very happy with this purchase and will continue to use this lip oil, it's a winner

Bought this to see if it would match my other lip oils. VERY BADD!! Dried out my lips when I wore it at overnight and during the day

I just bought this product and really like it so far! It's more moisturizing than I expected and has a very light pleasant scent (fruity-floral). It's not sticky which is great. I used a very light swipe in the second picture (black shirt), it moisturized and lightly tinted, so light that I wasn't sure it left any colour at all until I washed my face at night and realized my make-up remover was taking off pink from my lips! Day two, I put it on much heavier and it's very obviously brighter but still in the realm of natural lip shade, just heightened. With a thicker application, the scent is stronger and feels weightier on the lips (but still not sticky!!). I also tested a swatch on the back of hand to see the shade and how long it would take to lose the gloss and become more of a lip stain. It absorbs slowly over a few hours, leaving the colour and a very light gloss but with a minor sheen, more like cherry Chapstick, and still feeling very moisturized. With all the test applications, the shade took a few minutes to really activate (perhaps body temperature or pH plays a role?) so I'd suggest starting with an almost dry applicator and layering so you can find the shade and amount of product that works for you. I would reapply after eating but I haven't worn for a full 8-12 hours yet. I recommend this product if you're looking for something moisturizing, low maintenance, variable transparency options, stain-like look after a few hours. Not a good match for a long-lasting high shine, super bright shade, or totally transparent. It also swatched brighter on my hand vs my lips on day one, so definitely do a test drive and play with the amount of product on your lips before committing to it as part of your look! Best surprise: very moisturizing, even with very dry chapped lips Worst surprise: different shades, a bit unpredictable (I actually like this and find it fun, and I don't mind a super bright shade if it goes that way but I think most people would be put off by that)

I absolutely love Nooni's lip oils! My lips are always cracked from the dry air, and the way they give instant hydration that lasts is wonderful. I also really like they they don't feel sticky or greasy. Really pleasant feeling from this oil. I like that they give a soft, pretty tint to the lips as well that lasts a long time. Both the ApplePlum and AppleGinseng give a very slight volumizing effect to the lips, without that plumping tingling sensation. The hue of the ApplePlum is more dark cherry pink colored, while the AppleGinseng gives a more brown-taupe red tint -despite how dark it looks in the bottle. The AppleGinseng is my favourite of the two! The scent of both are interesting, and very difficult to describe, but both are very pleasant. They're both a bit sweet and vaguely floral, I just can't quite put my finger on what the scents remind me of, but both are very pleasant. Both offer the same great hydrating effects -and this is coming from someone who typically strongly dislikes lip glosses and oils! I'd give it ten stars if I could and I'll probably never like nor use another lip gloss or oil as much as this one! My lips go from dry, cracked and papery to soft and bouncy in one application, and the moisture just carries on if I keep up with applying it 2-3 times per day. The bottle is full sized and it does last a while, a little goes a long way with this oil. Something I do want to remind others of is that these are oils with some tint, not full on lip color, lip stain, lipstick -so they're going to appear darker in the bottle and give a light, translucent, jelly-like or candy-like tint when applied, and the main point is the hydration. Also, the amount of oil you put on, (and how long it remains on), affects how strong the stain is, to get the lightest, I suggest wiping the applicator on the edge of the bottle and doing one swipe on the bottom lip and pressing lips together, nothing else. An Oil like this doesn't need a thick layer on the lips and it will behave as oil does. Also, your base skin undertone and lip color will affect how the this lip oil looks on you. As with Korean Beauty aesthetics, the idea is to look very much like a flower -light tints, ombre'd colors and hues, all working together gracefully. -It's more or less the opposite of what the West is doing with bold colors and crisp edges and lines. And as always I love seeing the lot and batch number and expiry dates on the packaging.
