I have used the original space saver bags and found too often that air gets and the bags obviously enlarge taking up valuable space. Also, sometimes I could hear the air leaking after applying the cap (snap on), but could not tell where the leak was. After reading reviews of the Wevac bags, I thought I'd try them. I am glad I did. I love the convenience of the little vacuum that comes with it. I also love the thickness of the bags (more durable I hope). And, I believe the screw on cap is much more efficient than snap on caps. I have a futon with two drawers that slide underneath that should accommodate the bedding. The 1st photo shows a mattress cover in a Wevac Storage Bag inside one of the drawers. The 2nd photo shows a comforter in an Original Space Bag, where the air has seeped in! I sealed & removed air from both bags yesterday afternoon.

You can guess from the title that I've probably tried a few versions of these already. The 'original' brand would be fine for a day or two, but inevitably re-inflate. I had a lot of hope for the Hefty brand, given their solid history, but they were only nominally better than the first and seemed to struggle with pillows (which are my storage nemesis). Pepper in a string of the Amazon (Alibaba) letter jumble brands failing, and I was about to give up. I think these are so effective thanks to the little sealing gizmo inside the valve. Some folks complained about the pump being insufficient, but aside from being a little loud, it worked great! Once you get the bag closed, I recommend pulling that seal back a bit and manually compressing your item as much as possible. It's not necessary, but it makes quicker/easier work for the pump. It's been several weeks and the dreaded pillows, along with the rest of my bulky bedding and winter clothes, are TAMED! So happy!

I purchased this item for a girls trip so that I could fit things in my carry on suitcases because I did not want to check a bag. The bags are large and the pump does not work well. I do not recommend using for the purpose of a vacation trip.

I ordered this set after trying another brand that didn’t work. I will say if you are looking for spacious BAGS that hold the seal this is a great option but ONLY IF you have your own pump, let me explain. I was excited to see the electric pump included but saddened it did not work. I returned for another set and still the same issue with the pump not vacuuming the air out. Luckily I had a separate pump from the previous brand ordered that worked better. Buy a separate pump if you choose this item not sure if a vacuum will work as I didn’t try. The bags are the star in the package and I wish I could buy a combo set separately.

The bag sizes are good, however, I specifically bought this set to use the pump on trips. It barely sealed with the pump and I had 5 pairs of light clothing at best. I had to seal with a traditional vacuum. I wouldn’t recommend
