Another kitchen convenience gadget that is anything but convenient
I shouldn’t have bothered. I more or less knew that going in, but I thought just maybe I would be one of the lucky ones and I would get a product that did what I needed it to.Straight out of the packaging, you can see the issue. It doesn’t sit flat. Not even slightly. It’s warped and bowed and pulls away from the base of the pan at the edges. Maybe it’ll work when I put the batter in, I think, but that only causes more misery. The batter immediately seeps through mould, engulfing it before it can start to cook and solidify. It also doesn’t seem to conduct the heat very well, meaning that the top of the pancake is still very liquid by the time the bottom is cooked. Both these issues come together to make flipping the pancakes an absolute nightmare. The cooked bottom part wants to pull away from the mould rather than be lifted by it, in no way aided by the liquid top that wants to pour on through after it. By some miracle I managed to do it, and got the tops sizzling while I stared in dismay at the conglomeration that had formed as the leaky pancakes fused together as they cooked. It’s at this point I abandon the mould completely, managing to poke the cooked portions through again to free them. The mould takes a good chunk of semi-cooked batter with it as I pull it free, and I stare at it for a moment, wondering if it would be easy to clean the batter from all the unnecessary nooks and crannies moulded into the design (note: it was not easy. Not at all).Even then it has one final disappointment for me: despite taking great care to not overfill the mould, thanks to either the fact that it didn’t sit flat, the fact that it’s a very poor heat conductor, or, most likely, a combination of the two, the pancakes are still almost raw in the centre. I flip them a few more times, trying to get enough heat up through them to cook the insides while not overcooking the outside. With difficulty I finally reach a point where I would consider the pancakes cooked. I look up at the clock and it’s taken me almost fifteen minutes longer than if I’d just made regular pancakes. In short: avoid. You might think for the price it’s worth a punt as you might be one of the lucky ones, but I can promise you won’t. These sell cheap because they are cheap, and absolutely less than useless. Please don’t let my pain become your pain.

A real pleasure to use!
I had read a few unpromising reviews on the Amazon site, but I decided to go ahead and try it for myself. When it arrived (very promptly and well-packed), I set out to try it.I made a potato pancake batter, which is rather denser than the usual eggs/flour/milk batter. My mixture contained spelt flour, grated raw potato, yeast, chopped chives, salt, a little cheese, an egg and milk. This was allowed to rise, and then I spooned the mixture into the moulds.I used a large flat pan, and I think this is important, as a gradient will encourage the mixture to slide to the lowest point. I also made sure that the mould was sitting firmly on the bottom - the mixture helped to weight it down. The only leakage was when I over-filled the moulds (they rose a little as they cooked).Flipping them was easy with the two handles,The pancakes cooked beautifully and were delicious.I think a little care is needed to set this up properly, but as long as you do that, and make sure that you used a slightly denser batter than you would make for Pancake Day, I think you'll be able to make delicious pancakes very easily with this mould!

Really poor product, didn't work properly as leaking all around ...
Really poor product, didn't work properly as leaking all around the sides. Also really difficult to clean, had to throw it in the bin after two uses

It’s messy and doesn’t work!
Total waste of money and nothing like they show in the adverts! The silicone ring is slightly raised from the pan so the mixture will spill in between the rings. You need to weight it down with something that is heat proof (this May or May not work).Awful to clean - the pancake mixture especially sticks to the crevices of the rings and needs a good scrub to clean!Don’t waste your money - it’s not worth it at all.

Great but you'll need to practice.
This exact product was much cheaper, in fact half price on amazon compared to official site on Facebook. Arrived quickly as ordered on Prime. Suitable amount of packaging which was good. The product itself takes a little while to get used to using. Your frying pan needs to be 30 cms or 12 inches to use this effectively. It needs to be laid flat completely or the batter/eggs etc ooze our underneath. You also need to have pancake batter thicker than normal to ensure this happens too. Flipping is easy once you get the right consistency. Although I keep getting bits left in the bottom rim of the product after flipping. It takes a bit of practice but it's a great product. Everyone enjoyed them. I tried an omelette version but it leaked everywhere when I tried to flip it, so ended up with big omelette with 7 circles in it. Again a bit of practice and a larger pan and I'm sure it will be excellent.

Useless product do not buy!
This item is a poor product do not buy it and waste your money. It will not go flat even in a large flat frying pan so the pancake mix spreads out under the mould. The handles that are supposed to be pressed down to make contact with the pan and make a seal, go floppy when it warms up and cannot be pressed down. This is a useless product and should not be sold by Amazon!!!

Rubbish. Don’t waste your money.
Batter leaked underneath and I had a big enough pan and then the batter stuck to the mould and caused a big gloopy mess which was a pain to clean off the mould. Watched some review videos after buying to get some tips to see what I was doing wrong, wished I’d watched them sooner as the product seems very hit and miss. Shame as I was looking forward to utilising this gadget. Will be asking for a refund.
