Life changing. Buy this book!
Buy this book. It is life changing! It will be one I reread constantly to help me get in a better mindset about my weight.Trigger warning for those with an Ed:I have struggled with an eating disorder since high school. In 2021 I had reach my lowest weight to date and was dangerously skinny. Fast forward to the following year I had gotten on antidepressants and gained 55 lbs in one year and was the heaviest I’ve ever been in my entire life. This book made me cry… but in a good way. I have been struggling so much with my body image esp from going to one extreme to the other in a year. This will be a book I constantly reread. It is very comforting and I do not feel attacked. It provides healthy alternatives and is giving me healthy approaches to address my issues. I literally cried reading the first few chapters, because the author captures the frustration of diets/diet culture and just all of my feelings. I would weigh myself every day and the scale would dictate my day. If I went down I would have a “better” day, if it stalled or increased I would spiral. I made the decision to remove my scale from my home so I can focus on feeling healthy and not letting a scale dictate that.Thank you for for this book. I really wish I had this back in high school. Definitely will be one I share with my younger sisters!

A fantastic read that every female that is concerned with their weight should read
I have only fantastic things to say about this book.I brought the book after being recommended by a friend to listen to Lyndi’s pod cast Wellness Wankery after a comment I made about an addiction to chocolate. This book has changed my whole lifes knowledge about weight and what my body needs. I was paying $150 per month for a health coach, not any more. All of Lyndi’s steps are easy to follow and not a chore. I have changed the way I think about my body and how I fuel it.I enjoyed ready the book while away on holidays, which was very timely as for the first time while on holidays I could actually enjoy my food and drink.

A must-read book for all women!
This book was truly amazing, and I wish I would have read it 20 years ago before investing $1000s of wasted dollars in failed diets.Lyndi debunks the myths of diet culture in her humorous tone with lots of evidence-based citations and research. This book clearly outlines how the diet industry preys on unsuspecting women (and men), costing us not only our money but often, our long-term health due to the damage that yo-yo dieting does to our body.Lyndi offers a new (diet-free) plan for health and wellness in the second half of her book, focusing on promoting health through tools such as crowding, movement, and mindful eating. I especially loved how she frames the habits in a hierarchy, helping the reader you know where to start first to create a foundation of wellness!I highly recommend Lyndi’s book if you want to focus on deeply loving and nourishing your body while ditching diet culture … for good!
