The chamber allows exhalation whilst your mouth is connected (without creating condensation) and makes a fantastic easy job of the whole exhale, press, inhale technique. I even found that when short of breath it was brilliant to use and resulted in the reliever working better than when the chamber wasn't used. It isn't overly large or cumbersome and also has a flat bottom for easy storage on the bedside table. I have been so impressed with the benefits I will not be without this now. Review: FAR BETTER THAN THE NHS-SUPPLIED PRODUCT. - I bought this to supplement the somewhat larger item with a face mask which the NHS provided (so that I would have one for upstairs, one for downstairs) - and I like this so much better that I'm going to replace the latter with this. Being a much smaller chamber, I find it easier to empty as slowly as one is advised - and - most helpfully - if one is breathing in too quickly, a convenient little warning squeak is sounded. I also feel that the facemask is a hindrance rather than a help to efficient inhalation. I also like the attached cover for the mouthpiece, and the dismantleability for cleaning; and, like another reviewer, I welcome the anti-roll base (although the inhaler itself also acts as an anti-roll device). I only have experience of this and the NHS model, but I'd say it would be hard to find a better one for the moderate asthmatic who hasn't reached the nebuliser stage. A tiny white silicon material.** A: Sorry No. Fiona **Q: Can you store an inhaler inside the chamber?** A: It would be a very snug fit the top of the chamber has a soft membrane that storing an inhaler would probably damage it. If you've never heard of Respironics, be aware that it's a Philips brand. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well-designed but take the inhaler out to shake it *by A***R on 12 February 2021* Easy to use - the long mouthpiece means you can position it closer to your throat and diminish some of the risk of oral thrush with steroid inhalers. Over time the inhaler holder end does start wearing and the seal becomes less tight if you get the angle wrong - not helped by the instructions telling you to insert the inhaler before shaking it to activate. This means that not only are you damaging the seal, you’re also not shaking the inhaler very well. It’s relatively easy to clean although the mouthpiece ‘envelope’ is hard to get to. It only recommends once a week cleaning even for daily use, so it does get a bit of a build up of whiteness from a clenil inhaler in that time and I try and rinse it more frequently. On the whole, it’s the best spacer I’ve tried for comfort and easy of use. It is a little bulky for travel and I have a skinnier one I take away although it’s harder to use.
