This cover is an exact fit for the Lodge 8 inch cast iron skillet. It's large enough to give a good seal and let the food inside get hot and stay moist. I measured the diameter of my skillet and compared the size to various other covers that claim to fit the Lodge skillet- some of them are a little smaller which would make the cover loose. This one by Corytao is just right.It's better than the cast iron cover in that you can see what is cooking inside. I use it to melt cheese on a burger to perfection, as well as make really good omelets. Highly recommended for use with this pan.

Perfect size for the lid I needed to replace and it appears to be of excellent quality. It was NOT fully assembled, however. Getting those 2 parts of the knob handle together to get the screw to engage is not easy, especially with arthritic hands. Finally was able to assemble it when I taped both sides to the lid so they lined up correctly and didn't shift when applying the screw. Having purchased a lid before that I had to assemble, the fact this one was "fully assembled" was a plus. Buyer beware.... mine came NOT assembled.

Fortunately, this lid fits 2 fryer pans that I recently purchased, so it fits double the purpose.

It may be the best glass lid ever made, but without a knob on top it is useless. 5 different adults people have attempted to attach the 3 pieces that make the knob go together and as of a week latter no one has been successful. It remains a coffee table ornament till someone, some day can put it together. I cannot return it because I disposed of packaging.

Hard to attach the knob because plastic blocked the threads, but otherwise perfect.
