I’m not going to lie get these two twins of internet destruction just tear through the internet were it connectivity is crazy good and snappy for my taste and my family the range boosting I got from adding these was and are way worth the price don’t cheap out get it new rather than used. If you got the cash to shell it out to get this rich echo system that I made for my home it is a night and day difference and I’m happy with this purchase and the setup was stupid easy for the one question on how the setup will be

Great wifi coverage - across floors and throughout the house. Best coverage of any router I've ever owned. Works great in a mesh setup. Initial installation is a bit finicky however and had to get support involved to get it setup properly.

Five Stars all the way (FAST!!!!) - Upgraded from Netgear and this is so much better. I'm seeing speeds 100-140Mb/S and I have good coverage all over the house now without having to mess around with extenders. Such a better setup than what I had. Make the Jump to ROG. ASUS is a good company, have bought boards and cards from them in the past, great quality and speed.

We have a 4000 sf 3-story house. We recently had fiber installed (1 gig). We were on cable. Our older Google mesh system provided speeds from the new 1 gig modem of 200 Mbps next to the modem down to 25 Mbps in other areas of the house, even when close to one of the Google mesh routers. After installing the two ASUS ROG routers (one at the modem in the basement and one in our computer room on the main floor), the speeds increased dramatically. 975 Mbps next to the modem. The worst case (indoors) is about 350 Mbps. Our outdoor security cameras see a speed of about 20-25 Mbps, which works well. I’m very happy with the ASUS routers. But one issue. I have successfully registered numerous products in my life. Every time I tried registering these routers, it tells me the passwords don’t work. I’ve tried two different methods (and two different personal email accounts) without success. And when I try “Forgot Password,” I don’t get the email from them, though I have checked the Inbox and Junk folders several times. Therefore, I haven’t registered them. Not a big deal. ASUS still gets 5 stars.

I have had these mesh routers for six months now, and in that six months I have had to do three factory resets due to a complete failure of communication. They would not even communicate with a direct local connection after a full system restart. Each time I dumbed things down to reduce processing load, but to no avail. I have 28 connected devices, so a factory reset is no minor affair, taking most of a day to complete. I wish I could get back the $700 that I spent on these and get something that works. For that kind of money, these should work a lot better.
