very good
So sorry to have dropped a star, but my leak still leaks. But I don't think it's really the products fault my leak still leaks.I had reached out for advice here and it was about 50/50 if it would solve my problem, so gave it a try. The putty mixes really easily and quickly. It has the strangest of smells. The leak is on the bottom edge of my hot water tank, not only on that, the hot water tank is in a tight cupboard, so to see the leak I needed a torch and mirror. So once the putty was mixed I realised I could not hold the mirror and torch along with placing the putty. So I had to guess where the leak was when applying the putty, I think the leak was covered with the putty, it was a little out of reach to press for the required time, so that has also not helped. So my leak has slowed down a little .. but not stopped. I may try to reapply at some point when the leak starts to drip faster. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who's leak is visible and reachable.so 5 stars for ease of use, if you can reach where you want to use it .. 5 stars for value for money as it a bigger tube of putty than I was expecting .. & 5 stars for adhesion as try as I may I don't seem to be able to pick it off the tankUpdate ... my leak has stopped leaking .. so this product has worked, it took a while, but somehow it has sealed and stopped the leak .. happy days

It sets much quicker than most others I've tried
I have used thisproduct on and off for 3 years. I cut off a length and warm it to about 30C with a heat gun to help it mix together as the outer layer is quite tough otherwise. After that I need to work quickly as it starts to harden in about 10 mins and is very hard in 40-60 mins. So be aware of this and only use small amounts at one time. In my experience the shelf life of the pack once opened is about 6 months max before it starts to self harden in the tube. No problem for me as I get through it quickly.

Useless
The product has been placed on on the little pipe as described and it is still leaking, so not very good results.

Good value size
I used it to bridge gaps between wood, rubber and GRP in a dingy. Mixing it using loose type plastic gloves does not work: it sticks to the gloves, I had to mix with my fingers. Smooth with a wet knife etc. It set quickly so you need to have everything ready when you start. If sanded it looks a lighter shade but is a strong copper colour. It looks as if it will perform well.

Epoxy putty sticks.
You need to real mix it up until the brown outer skin is mixed evenly through the sample. I have used it to repair the gouges in a garden table. The handle/junction to a garden brush. The bass ferrule section to my garden parasol and to timber gate were shrinkage had opened the joints. Easy to work with normal woodworking tools once it has hardened off. Must restock .

Ok But.
Maybe it works for some substances, but unfortunatly not clay pipes so for this specific purpose it did not produce a suitable repair, but then again maybe OK for other uses, so hence the three stars.
