Great for bottling Kombucha!
I use this when bottling my Kombucha from my 3 gallon mason jar. My jar does have a pour spout, but we also do not keep our jar near the counter edge for easy access, so using this siphon has been pretty easy and works great for me! I use it about 3-4 times a month. It’s easy to use, easy to clean and doesn’t take up much space when not in use.

Super-duper awesome back-saver
I bought this a few years ago to help someone make wine, but we never did. Fast-forward to this year. I was thinking about my water purification system and how hard it is to pour the water from a 5-gallon jug into 1-gallon jugs… I remembered this, and now I have a nice system that I set up with a 5-gallon water jug. I’ll let the water filter into my jug that’s placed in the sink, and I’ll walk away as it fills my big jug. Over time, I can go take hold of the siphon tube and bring it down low to fill up gallon after gallon. When the gallon is almost full, I can switch over to a new gallon jug or stand up with the gallon that’s filling, and the siphon slows and stops. I just set the siphon tube back into the top of the big jug when I’m not using it. When I need it again, I won’t even need to pump the siphon to get it going again. It just flows because of gravity. It’s soooooo much easier than heaving a 5-gallon jug around and trying to pour the water into my small jugs with a funnel, which I did for a year. The only recommendation I have is to stop filling the jugs before the siphon runs out of water and is filled with air because the big jug will need to be almost full again to get it going again, if you accidentally do that. Is it worth the money? You betcha!!! It saves me a lot of effort and work. I think I was hurting my back from repeatedly lifting that big jug and holding for so long. One thing that would be cool to have on here is a little valve to turn the flow on/off. That would make it suuuuuper amazing.
