Bech Magnetic Cello Mute is an advance on the standard Tourte type. The mute is attached to a magnetic holder on the tailpiece when not in use reducing the possibility of rattles. This is the original Bech Magnetic Cello Mute, not an imitation!

Does not work with fine tuners.
Be aware, does not work well if you have fine tuners on the a and d - the magnet is in the middle of the mute, so the tuners will get in the way. I am not willing to remove my tuners, so at this point, I just have a regular mute. So far, it has not rattled, which is why I wanted a new mute anyway, so that is a plus. But I am not using it as intended.
