Update 9/25/2018: I've just purchased and installed my 3rd AirLocking setup. The update that sends a text to guests a programmable amount of time before their arrival is very helpful. And as always, their support team is great at getting your setup. This is one of my favorite products on Amazon. --- Previous Review -----> This lock rocks. The setup process on the software side is a tad technical for your average person, but once you engage their customer support team they respond right away and help you get through it. I am 100% satisfied with their support team's assistance. Installing the lock is easy, and the "hub" that connects to the internet just plugs into the back of your router or modem. It then communicates over the wifi network with your lock. Their user interface at their customer web portal isn't necessarily pretty, and it's a bit utilitarian looking, but it works well. Using terminology such as "Enabled: true", sounds a bit like a software engineer designed the UI, but I still love it. Thank God they got this product done. That it works so well, is all I care about in the end. They've chosen a GREAT lock to use with this system. It looks great, and I like that it has all the numbers from 1-9 on their own individual buttons, vs. 123, 456, 789 on shared buttons for example. I really like that you can customize the greeting your Air BnB guests receive, which you'll definitely want to do. And the fact that you can set when a guest's access code starts to work, and stops working, for reservations, is pretty cool (vs. it just matching your reservation time). So you can give people an extra half hour on either side of the check in or check out if you'd like. It's also great that they only charge $2.99 a month for additional locks (the first lock is $4.99 a month). Those prices are very reasonable in my opinion. The lock is very expensive, and you might ask yourself why you have to pay a monthly fee at all, but the auto -sending of emails and auto generating lock codes is done on the software side, and that will no doubt continue to evolve - so they definitely deserve some sort of ongoing recurring revenue stream for that. This is my favorite product of the year so far sold on ebay!

I would give it 10 stars if I could! This was a no-brainer and absolutely the best solution for my needs as an Airbnb host. I did research quite a few solutions and I am so glad I decided on Airlocking. There is no hassle and no worries with the lock or the service. I use it in my own apartment, which also serves as an airbnb for one of the rooms. The service sends a pre-check-in email for the guest with all the info needed for their arrival, enables and disables the guest code, sends an email when your guest arrived aka used the code for the first time. Their support team is super quick and fast to resolve issues or concerns. I have been using the lock for over a year and still love the service. I changed the battery once so far after 10 months, which indicates a pretty efficient lock considering it communicates with the hub regularly to check the status on the door and adds/removes codes. I also love the unlock feature from the web. And I can add and remove my own codes for cleaners or contractors, even limit the times they can access the home. It beats having the guests leaving doors unlocked, or accidentally forgetting to return the keys, etc.Peace of mind, convenience, and happy guests for $5/month, totally worth it!

I own 10 vacation cabins. Airbnb cabins. This product did not work with my phone from day two. It seemed fine for a few hours. Then stopped being able to remotely unlock.Worst part is that this lock doesn't allow you to make up your own codes and provide them to guests. it randomly generated a code. Sends it to your guest supposedly. . These codes have not worked even once for us or our guests. Now the lock won't even work with 1 mast code. Tried a 8 volt to recharge too and that did nothing. Thankfully I have a back door with a key. I cant return as it has been more than 30 days of hoping this product would work. Expensive mistake!!Go with a wifi entry that allows keys as well. At least that way you can hide a key for guests. Also. Get one that allows you to use any code you choose, like the last 4 digits of guests phone number. This did mot work for my business. Total dud.

The lock works extremely well. Easy to install and i have had very few minor problems that were quickly addressed by the support team. The ability to generate codes, the integration with airbnb, the opening the lock from my phone-these are amazing features that I honestly could not have put a price on before i owned my first one, but you could not pay me to give up these features now. The one knock i have is that it would be nice to have an actual app instead of logging into the site from my phone. Also, the support team is killer friendly and have given me beta access to features that i inquired about that they were working on and seem to add improvements all the time to the software. Cannot recommend highly enough! One more thing...NO MORE KEYS! Yes!

I returned this item when I realized that the installation process and the equipment for a simple lock were complex and large. I mean the hub system was bigger than my laptop and the whole installation process was going to be a nightmare. I returned this and was glad I did.

I had issues in the beginning with the lock turning the wrong way. I could not rest the device because a wire was crimped during install. They were quick to respond, sent out a free replacement part and we got it up and running. The app and features on the site have improved since I first started using the lock and the improvements are nice and help customize some of the settings.One comment which recently left me running home to assist my guest was the battery life. It will stay at 90 - 100 for a long time then decline. When its close to 50% change the batteries. It was getting activation delays up to a few hours. Once the batteries were changed the lock activated as usual.Highly recommend this device for simplifying your hosting experience and keeping your house secure.
