Review: Almost like a factory option - This is darn near the perfect dashcam for the Ioniq 5. It was easy to install, including all the required cables and fitting into area under the rearview mirror mount perfectly. The included molded plastic cover looks like it came from the factory, making it very difficult to tell there's a dashcam. I have the 4K model and the video quality is great. I don't remember if the 4K+rearview was available when I bought it, but I wish I had it. Because it's specific to the Ioniq 5, it will probably not be moved to a new car, but that's okay; it will be a value-add to the next owner. Hopefully, Fitcamx will have a similar camera for whichever car I buy next.
Review: A bit expensive but worth it for the neatness and peace of mind. - This is a must have for this vehicle. SO much nicer than installing a typical dash cam as this blends in and looks stock. The camera housing dips below the stock housing and cuts off a little visibility of the driver's right view through the windshield, but it's not a big deal - at least for me. Video quality is very good as is the app. Installation took 20 minutes. Only feature I'd like to see added is GPS speed tracking. I do regret not getting the rear camera too.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do I need to connect the dash cam everytime? Can I use CarPlay/Bluetooth as usual?**
A: You don't need to keep camera connected as it will auto-record after car starts. You only need to connect the camera in the need of viewing or downloading video. No affect the normal use of CarPlay or Bluetooth

**Q: Where is the video stored? Can I view video anytime i want?**
A: The video is auto-saved in SD card, not phone. 1. Only if you've downloaded footage to your phone in advance, you can watch it even off the car or remotely. 2. You can also watch it on computer by intserting SD card

**Q: With front 4k camera installed, can I add a rear cam separately?**
A: NO, because the PCB boards are different between single front and dual version.

**Q: Is the dash cam featured with Parking Sensor? And is it 24h recording?**
A: Not all FlTCAMX dash cams has parking sensor, you need extra harness to upgrade with this function. And there are 24h and non-24h recording option, please confirm with FlTCAMX for more details.

**Q: Why dash cam gets hot?**
A: It's normal situation but no worry. 1. The surrounding space of camera is small, and the original parts nearby will cause high temperature. 2. The camera is under windshield which is in direct sunlight by day.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just get this!
*by R***D on August 19, 2023*

The best! SIMPLE-and good app! Just remember when you want to view from phone shut off cellular data and if you have a wireless CarPlay set up like me-SHUT OFF Bluetooth. When you're done viewing current or past images on phone, or changing settings, turn bluetooth and cellular data back on. It WILL record. It's so clean looking vs the usual dash cam-Well worth it. Great job FITCAMX and THANKS Ioniq guy for the Youtube video!
