I had woodpeckers pecking at the high windows at the back of my house, so I hung strips of this tape that reflect sunlight and flutter in the breeze. So far this has worked to keep them away, even if it is a little unsightly. This ribbon tape has no adhesive properties, so I secured it in place with double-sided adhesive tape that I also found here on Amazon.

I put this all around my slip at the marina b/c the birds were having a party right over my boat every day and night. I taped it up with duck tape, some directly onto the steel beams nice and tight and others just dangling so they would flap in the wind. I'm not sure which one worked but the bird droppings are gone. I don't want to harm any birds, I just wanted them to find another spot that wasn't right above my boat. There are many other boats slips for them to use. With regards to this "tape ribbon", it is not a tape and that's clearly mentioned in the description so it does not stick. It is very easy to tape up with some duck tape. It's not as much of an eye sore as I thought and it actually looks pretty cool, especially if there are some holiday weekends coming up. As for the quality, it doesn't rip so I'm very happy with it. Just so glad the birds have moved and my boat is free from the massive droppings that were ruining my boat and it's cover.

Easy to use

It works! I tied it on the fence around my garden and blueberry patch. I also tie it onto branches of fruit trees. Some fruit eating birds (like Robins, Crows, Flickers) are afraid, very afraid! The nice little tree swallows fly by laughing and give us a high five in appreciation for keeping the crows away. The deer also don't appreciate it and have kept their distance from the apple trees. I've seen reviews that says it doesn't work, but it does if applied correctly. First, this is not sticky tape, it's more like flagging tape (no adhesive). I cut 2 or 3' ' pieces, attach it only at one end so that it can fly and move in the breeze. When it moves It flashes and makes a little noise. Not enough noise to annoy me if I'm sitting on the patio, but enough to annoy the birds and scare the deer. Glad I found this and I will buy more.

It works to deter birds from pecking on your windows. Just hang a strip in windows they peck (can put on inside) and they stop.

Important: this is not tape - it has no adhesive, it is ribbon. This flexible plastic plastic ribbon works as advertised to scare birds away. It reflects the sunlight, creating a blindingly bright glimmering effect. I used gorilla tape to install sections of this ribbon on bamboo stakes around my garden, and when the wind blows, the ribbons work very effectively. This ribbon does make a little bit of noise when blowing in the wind, but not enough to be a nuisance to me. This ribbon is fairly strong feeling in the hand, although I haven’t had it in place for very long, so I will have to see how it holds up to the sun and weather.
