Needed one of these for my turtle beach headset, I have used this regularly pretty much every day and has always worked as described and no issues.

An ideal audio splitter lead, if you want use a single audio jack on a headset with a mic on a pc that has both audio and mic sockets on the front of the desktop unit.

Mic/headphones to 4 pole splitter adapter.
My headphones have a single combined headphones/mic cable that ends in a 4 pole connector rather than 2 individual plugs for each mic and headphones. I had an adapter cable but it was far too long, so I purchased this adapter as it was considerably shorter. So far it has worked perfectly and has not affected the sound quality at all.
