Ideal for flat, metal, and bitumen roofs, it offers 4-6 m² coverage per litre and dries to a bright metallic silver finish that extends roof lifespan while enhancing energy efficiency. ## Description When flat roofs, felt and metal sheeting sit in direct sun all day, dark surfaces absorb heat, degrade and crack. MASTERBITUMEN Solar Reflective Paint is the answer - a solvent based bitumen paint infused with high quality aluminium flake that dries to a bright silver paint finish, reflecting light and heat away from the roof. By reducing heat absorption, this solar reflective paint lowers surface temperatures, protects against UV damage and extends the life of bituminous and metal surfaces. Use it as a shed roof paint, garage roof finish or industrial coating: it works as a flat roof waterproofing layer on bitumen sheets, an aluminium paint for primed steel and corrugated iron, and a protective bitumen sealant over previously coated or weathered membranes. When dry it forms a tough, weatherproof barrier that keeps water out season after season. Application is simple. Stir thoroughly with a low speed drill and paddle, then apply two coats of this silver paint by brush, roller or spray, allowing the first coat to dry completely. The coating may appear slightly gold when wet but cures to a brilliant reflective silver. Coverage is 4-6 m² per litre per coat (up to 10 m² on non porous surfaces), so this generous 25 litre tub of bitumen paint handles large roof areas with ease. Avoid over brushing or thick application, and do not apply in wet conditions. Choose MASTERBITUMEN solar reflective paint and give your roof lasting protection from sun, heat and rain. ## Features - SOLAR REFLECTIVE ROOF COATING: Brushable aluminium bitumen paint reflects light and heat, reducing heat absorption and roof temperatures while forming a weatherproof, waterproof barrier when dry - BRIGHT SILVER PAINT FINISH: High grade aluminium flake gives a metallic silver paint finish with UV paint protection, shielding bitumen and metal surfaces from sun damage - WATERPROOF PAINT FOR ROOFS AND METAL: Solvent based metal paint outdoor formula seals flat and pitched roofs, corrugated iron and steel as a durable exterior waterproofing paint - BITUMEN ROOF SEALANT PAINT: Performs as a felt roof sealant over weathered bituminous membranes and primed metal, a solar reflective paint that extends roof life - HEAT RESISTANT PAINT PERFORMANCE: High temperature paint technology for sun baked surfaces; easy application by brush, roller or spray with 4-6 m² per litre coverage ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00IXP8EE8 | | Age Range Description | adult | | Best Sellers Rank | 307,269 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 189 in Roof Coatings & Paints | | Brand Name | MASTERBITUMEN | | Colour | Silver | | Colour Code | #C0C0C0 | | Container Type | Tin | | Country of Origin | United Kingdom | | Coverage | porous surfaces: 4-6 m2 per liter, non-porous surfaces: up to 10 m2 per liter | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 4.8 out of 5 stars (110) | | Finish Type | Metallic | | Included Components | Brush | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Outdoor | | Is Waterproof | True | | Item Form | Liquid | | Item Volume | 25 Litres | | Item Weight | 25 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | MB | | Paint Type | Bituminous | | Part Number | 9SOLA02500 | | Size | 25 l (Pack of 1) | | Special Features | UV Resistant | | Specific Uses For Product | Exterior | | Surface Recommendation | Metal | | Unit Count | 25000 millilitre | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** MASTERBITUMEN - **Colour:** Silver - **Finish type:** Metallic - **Item volume:** 25 Litres - **Paint type:** Bituminous - **Size:** 25 l (Pack of 1) - **Special feature:** UV Resistant - **Specific uses for product:** Exterior - **Surface recommendation:** Metal - **Unit count:** 25000 millilitre ## Images ![Solar Reflective Bitumen Paint 25L | Aluminium Roof Coating - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/710orVUV48L.jpg) ![Solar Reflective Bitumen Paint 25L | Aluminium Roof Coating - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41IC7LThQEL.jpg) ![Solar Reflective Bitumen Paint 25L | Aluminium Roof Coating - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/519an5K+-gL.jpg) ![Solar Reflective Bitumen Paint 25L | Aluminium Roof Coating - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/517+KH0NyML.jpg) ![Solar Reflective Bitumen Paint 25L | Aluminium Roof Coating - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51Qro++Ry6L.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: hi will this cover over felt roofing and can it be rolled** A: sun and weathering of roofs, particularly where bituminous, exposed steel and corrugated iron surfaces are encountered.the product can be used on roofing felt but we do recommend priming the felt with bitumen primer prior to the application of the aluminium solar paint.
