Yes, it is more expensive, than a standard Kindle. But it makes Kindle feel like genuine book reading as not only can you highlight paragraphs you can write your own notes. Incredibly easy to navigate and a joy to use. Maps, charts, etc become more readable, photos more real. If you are an avid reader do consider. Only drawback is the battery life is not quite as long as stated but still an improvement.

Great for reading, taking notes and just playing. I am glad I bought it. I use it when I am relaxing and keep my smaller signature kindle by my bed. They sinc perfectly. Very happy.

I had an old kindle fire one of the early ones, and loved it, but I had an accident and broke the screen. I decided to replace it with the scribe. I do like this but for me it took a little while to get used to, going to the top of the screen for things instead of the bottom. The main thing is the fire is a media kindle so I could use it on the net and listen to music the scribe does not, also I miss the time at the top of the screen I have a habit of getting lost in a good book and have missed bus stops many times so the time at the top was helpful but again the scribe does not have this. I love the notes and that you can write notes about the books but I wish it was more like a post it notes which you have the choice of seeing or not. I also like the bigger screen. I do worry in case it falls out of the case because the magnets are not strong, I used to take my fire everywhere so far I haven't with this one but that could be a fear of dropping it like I did my fire. The black and white also takes a little while to get used to, the battery does not last as long as it states, so far if you read a lot it lasts about a week, using it less makes to battery last longer. I do like the collections this is must better than the fire.

Expensive purchase, but well worth it.Love the reading experience, even if the Scribe is heavier in the hand.And great for notetaking.I do wish it was possible to just scribble in the margins of books directly, but overall I'm super happy with the experience.Updates have been essential - looking forward to continued improvements!

Good usable size. I'm finding this handy for shopping lists etc. it's saving so much paper in lots of ways. Of course there are lots of books to store and read to save space in the home too. For its price I think it could offer a few more templates or pen styles but I don't want to say it's a complaint or that it lets the product down really as I'm enjoying mine greatly.

I had done quite a bit of research into digital notebooks. Each one has their own pros and cons. The remarkable 2 and the amazon scribe were the main two for me to consider.After much internal conflict I chose the scribe and after 1 day of use I was sold. I can’t see any lag while writing with the pro pen. It gives a pleasant writing experience. It captures my handwriting perfectly, as if i was writing on paper (which might not be a pro considering how bad my handwriting is).It offers a variety of paper types as a template. It is fairly light to hold and has the added benefit of having ebook store built in.I have no regrets buying this and would recommend it to anyone
