U by Kotex Balance Ultra Thin Pads with Wings, Heavy Absorbency, 46 Count (Packaging May Vary)

I don't normally leave reviews for these types of products due to the variances many people can experience.. but I will try and give you a reason why I tried and now love these! These are now my GO-TO!~ I will start by saying for the majority of my life I used homemade pads due to family history of TSS and heavy bleeding. However, I was lucky to not have heavy bleeding compared to my other family members with cycles. Little did I know that not everyone bled the same as everyone else. (Ignorance) My grandmothers and mothers before me swore up and down that I had to wear super heavy padding to keep all the blood soaked and to reduce smell.. so I lived that way for over 25 years. Recently a boyfriend of mine bought these at the store when I asked him if he had any pads in the house. (He was sweet enough to go grab some.) I mentioned to him I didn't bleed much and that I wanted something called regular. (He bought regular, but I picked up the heavy recently from Amazon - hence this review.) I had never in my life had a more comfortable experience with a pad. I was only exposed to homemade pads that were thick, stinky, uncomfortable, but also wash/reusable. Of course pads were made available to me during my life, but they were very itchy and quite honestly not as comfortable as the homemade ones. Until U by Kotex! I have a common occurrence of blood coming forwards and upwards towards my tummy. My blood does not go towards my butt and everything seems to pool forwards. I found that these pads have a spade shaped design that is a little bigger on one end than the other and its perfect to cover my entire upper pubic area. Pros: - Charcoal is ABSOLUTELY a must now. I can't bring myself to say there is no smell, but there is definitely a FRESHER experience by having this feature. - Regular and Heavy both FEEL the same on. You would think a heavy design would feel thicker? Nope! It's just as thin, but more absorbent. I tend to use 3-5 during my whole cycle of 4-7 days. (Of course that is preference.) - The wings are thin and comfortable, but easily wrapped around most standard cuts I have worn. I do not recommend slim/bikini designs of panties during use. - Cute packaging, but not needed to use. - THIN. THIN. THIN. It's so nice to not feel these ball up in your underwear, but feel protected. - Compact box. - NO LEAKS (yet) on my gusset. I am not ruining pairs of underwear with use due to.. WINGS. - Great from start to finish. (Of cycle/time.) - Great for forward flowing blood. - Decent size, but also I am a taller woman so I may have a "longer" region for it to fit perfectly. Cons: - The value is debatable. They are the most expensive on the shelves, but really work. - The pad can come off the wrapping when you unwrap it. Be careful! I would say take your time to really place this correctly. - The adhesive on the wings is absolutely ruined if you accidentally touch it to its self. (Mostly) - Not a QUICK process to place it on your underwear - however taking your time will be the best course of action and then its SMOOTH from then on.

I’ve tried many pads and these U by Kotex Balance Ultra Thin ones are honestly amazing. What I love the most is that the material doesn’t burn or irritate the skin, even on long days. Pros: • Very soft material — no burning or discomfort • Ultra thin but still great for heavy flow • Stays in place thanks to the wings • Good absorption without feeling bulky • Breathable and comfortable for all-day wear Cons: • I wish the pack brought even more pads because I go through them fast After several uses: These have become my go-to pads. They’re comfortable, reliable, and gentle, especially compared to others that tend to irritate or feel scratchy. Conclusion: If you need something thin, absorbent, and super gentle on the skin, these are perfect. I’ll definitely repurchase.

I normally use the Kotex U “Clean and Secure” for heavy flow with wings, but decided to try the “Balance” version this time, since the activated charcoal sounded like a cool concept to me. I am a petite woman who wears a size 8 in pants and my underwear size is medium. I would like to point out that these pads are a bit narrower in the crotch, even compared to the “Clean and Secure” model of the same brand. They seem slightly smaller overall as well. Also, the wrappers are really colorful as opposed to being plain white. Even the pad itself has colorful polka dots in the sides. I feel like I bought some teenager pads by mistake. These are supposed to support a heavy flow and I feel that they might for someone who is very small and/or wears underwear with narrow crotch. My underwear are medium and these are about 5mm too slim on each side. However, they are comfortable and absorbent. I just need to be a little more careful with the placement. I think the added charcoal makes a small difference. Ultimately I think I will go back to the ones I’m used to on the really heavy days and keep these for the medium flow days.

I’ve been using these for years, and I intend to keep using them! They are pretty comfortable (all things considered), the adhesive keeps the pad from shifting, and they block any smells super well. Love these!

Love these pads, I used them when visiting America and can only get them off Amazon now back in UK. Great for sensitive skin and soft.

Oct 9 th bought these again and forgot to hit submit. They don’t scrunch all up like a lot of them do. The thickness is perfect for me as a liner for those oh oh moments. I did have a big oh oh moment once and all was good 🤭 I think because they don’t bunch or scrunch all up it allows that area to breath. Thus less odours. These are the only ones I will use going forward. BUT I didn’t open the box for 2 weeks. Someone else said “they don’t stick”. I bought them as my first box was fine. This next one hardly sticks as at all 🤷🏼‍♀️. I’ll try one more time.
