Included are just two square shaped magnetic units which are four by four units in size, this set is an expansion set for someone that already has a starter kit or other sets ready to build upon these bases.I ordered this for my grandson who already has a couple of Connectix sets so this will allow him to build larger projects using this as a sturdy base and over time more and more sets can be added for even more capability.The quality is about the best that I've seen for magnetic building blocks and the pieces grab to each other with ease. Every piece is made from a very strong and safe non toxic plastic and houses strong magnets for a decent and sturdy model to be built.
