Be wary, the seals ARE quite potent, and it does take some finesse and muscle to take them off safely. The lid style is actually smart for how it's removed, and I get the impression they did a lot of testing to see what works best as a handle and holding position before landing on this. Though I was apprehensive when I first purchased.I will state the following. HOLD the jar with one arm, tucked in your arm holding to your body, while opening with the other hand, in almost a rocking motion until the top finally comes off, to avoid it moving around and popping off with any force. Especially the two larger ones.Absolutely fantastic design, quality construction, good quality stainless steel. When you do wash the lids, make sure to carefully wipe the inside and move it side to side to allow the water to enter the center, as there are a lot of hidden spots water seeps into. I actually had to reclean the jars after sealing them empty, thinking I properly wiped down the lids. No, I had excess water vapor there that went into the jars and sat there for a little over a week, maybe two, before I finally opened it up to put something in. Then had to clean the jars and figured out the water came from the lid and the room temp heat. No growth of any kind, and no rust on the stainless steel. So that's quality food grade Stainless Steel.

I bought these to replace my old Tupperware canisters. They work great, have tight-fitting lids, and look beautiful on the countertop in my new kitchen.

I was surprised at how good the quality is on this stainless steel canister set. The tops fit snuggly and are air tight. My only negative is I wish the company sold these separately instead of in a set. I don't need the smallest canister so it's kind of a waste. I need one of the 3.5 qt size for all purpose flour, two of the 2.5 qt sizes ....one for my Paleo flour and one for bread flour, then the 1.6 qt size for sugar. I guess I can use the .95 qt size canister for my sugar alternatives, but I really needed an extra of the 2.5 qt size so I may have to purchase another set and use the others for storing other things like dried pasta, rice, etc. But I highly recommend these canisters if you are in the market for stainless steel airtight canisters.

If you were a baker, it’s probably perfect, but from the picture, you can see my old canister set on the right and the new canister set on the left. This new Canister set is massive! I poured a 5 pound bag of flour into the second biggest Canister and there’s room for another pound or two of flour!!I am only using the three smallest canisters for tea, sugar, and flour because the fourth canister is huge enough to be a cookie jar.Other than that, they are pretty and well-made.

The media could not be loaded. The steel quality is good. The lids fit well for 3 of them. 1.6 qt one's lid does not fit well. also the same canister has stains which wont go after washing. Also the 0.95 qt lid doesnt close properly. it is not airtight.Update - Reached out to seller. Immediately sent out replacement of the defective pieces. These pieces seal well. Happy with the service.

I do not write reviews unless I’m extremely happy or unhappy with a product. These are very nice. Sturdy, made well, and perfect sizes (large size ordered). Many reviews state the lids are too hard to open. They are definitely snug, but that’s what you want for storing food product. They open fine if you hold in one hand while pulling the lid with the other. I’m very happy with these. Very modern looking too.
