An excellent chainsaw that punches above its weight
The Husqvarna 455 Rancher is truly an excellent saw. It came completely preassembled from Amazon ready to run. After a one tank break in, I unleashed it on about a 50 year-old white mulberry tree that had fallen in our yard. This is very hard wood and the saw performed flawlessly, hour after hour.The saw is well balanced, and starts easily cold or warm. I would highly recommend this or any Husqvarna product. Five stars all around.

Wow! What a saw. I’ve always had a chain saw and have cut many trees down. This is my first husqvarna and the most powerful one I have owned and man is it awesome. I guess this is my first professional saw. I have always used smaller stihls. Love this saw and see why there is such a rivalry between them and stihl. Starts like butter. Cuts like butter. Only one problem the oil pump was clogged when I started using it. Did some investigating and it had some shears of metal in it. So I was mad about that. But I can understand stuff happens and it is a simple mistake. Rather than go through the whole warranty and return I just ordered a new pump kit for $15. That’s why only the four stars. Other than that it’s 5 stars. Maybe it was good because I learned about the oil pump and other parts of the saw. Smaller saws don’t have these features. Another feature it has is the decomp button for starting, that is new to me. Make sure you read the proper starting order. Once you know it starts perfect. Also a much cheaper deal here than in stores.

Cutting a huge tree
Bought this for a large tree,that had partially fallen,through a storm. It was wonderful,did the job.

I've been using Husqvarna saws for 25 years with no problems. Bought this one in June and used it a few times and now 3 months later I cut with it, shut it off and it hasn't started since. Return window is closed so I'm out $600.buying a Stihl.
