Great filament for skulls and skeletons
I found a 3D model for an interesting skull so naturally I wanted to print it out. A small test print with white filament came out great but the color just wasn't right. Does anyone make a bone-colored PLA filament? Of course they do. I'm not the first weirdo to 3D print a skull after all. A minute of searching brought up this spool from eSUN, and after a few clicks, it was on its way to me. I've used eSUN PLA before and, while I prefer Elegoo by a very narrow margin, eSUN has given me good results. I was a little worried because the skull I was printing would have to be done in 2 parts (skull and mandible), and the main part was a 23 hour print. Plenty of time for something to go wrong. Bambu has a preset for eSUN PLA+ so that's what I used. After slicing, loading the spool, and hitting the print button, I crossed my fingers and walked away. I checked on it again in the morning (12 hours later) and so far everything looked good. Layer lines were visible but not too prominent. Since I was using a 0.4mm nozzle, I didn't expect the lines to disappear. There was a slight gloss to the print. I would have preferred a matte finish to simulate bone porosity, but since I didn't specify a matte filament, I was neither surprised nor disappointed. At the end of 23 hours, the skull was waiting on the build plate. It looked exceptional, without so much as a stray filament, void, or other defect that I could see. The support material (there was quite a bit of it) broke away without much fuss and I was left with something that, from a few feet away, could pass for a skull. Adhesion was just right. The part never shifted during the print but was relatively easy to remove from the build plate once everything had cooled. I did use a little hairspray as an adhesion promoter-- I wasn't taking any chances-- but I doubt that I actually needed it. The mandible was a much easier print (only about 6 hours) and it came off without a hitch. After years of dealing with finicky 3D printers and filaments that would only print correctly about half the time, I was floored that I could walk away for an entire day without looking over my shoulder once and come back to a completed print. I usually pay $10-$12 a spool for garden variety PLA. This spool was slightly pricier at $18, but it is a specialty filament and the price is quite reasonable for the quality and appearance that you get. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this filament. It worked flawlessly for this project.

Good high quality filament!
Very smooth filament, prints great and I love the color. No issues with the spooling and tangles and it prints great with my tuned PLA settings!

Affordable, reliable, and consistent for functional parts.
eSUN PLA+ has become my go-to filament for most of my prints. I mainly design functional parts for use in tooling and fixtures and have never had any problem with the structural integrity or dimensional accuracy of this PLA+. I have run through dozens of rolls of black, grey, and fire engine red with no issues. I don't follow any strict climate control processes or store the rolls in any particular way. I try to remember to remove the filament from the AMS gearing when I don't plan to be printing for a little while, which I believe is a good practice. I always check the end of the filament for brittle arears before loading into the AMS and snap off the end by hand until I run into the first part of the filament where it just bends back and forth in my fingers. That's typically just an inch or two from the previous end of the filament and I never have any issues following this process. I'm more concerned with accurate prints that have great layer adhesion, so I don't typically print for speed, but I have no reason to believe that this filament could not be pushed to limits that I have not tested. Affordable, reliable, and consistent - I count on eSUN PLA+ to get the job done.

Cold White is extremely opaque - excellent for avoiding bleed on multicolor prints
The Cold White is the strongest and most opaque white filament I've found - making it ideal for multicolor prints. Most white filament is relatively translucent, which results in a lot of color bleed. I tested a lot of white filaments, and the eSUN Cold White is by far the "strongest" and most opaque, making it a lot easier to get a good white color on a multicolor print.

Consistently Reliable and Excellent Quality Filament!
Iโve used a lot of different PLA+ brands, and eSUN continues to be one of the most dependable options out there. The filament feeds smoothly with zero tangles or breaks, and the diameter consistency is spot-on, resulting in precise, clean prints every time. Layer adhesion is excellent, and the surface finish comes out beautifully glossy without needing any extra tuning. This PLA+ also has great toughness compared to standard PLA โ parts feel stronger and less brittle, perfect for both functional prototypes and aesthetic prints. It sticks well to the bed without warping, and cleanup after printing is effortless. If you want a filament that performs well across different printers and print speeds, eSUN PLA+ is a solid choice. Great value for the quality and reliability!

Usually very good but can get a bad spool
Iโve already gone through 6 rolls of the stuff and itโs been great. The only reason itโs not five stars is because every once in a while youโll likely get a spool that isnโt wound very well so you have to sit there and make sure it doesnโt catch on itself and ruin your print

Prints fine in my K1
It's good stuff for the price. I needed a color for a project and this got put in the shopping cart. The spool unrolled just fine, some manufacturers out there wind theres to give you problems. The speed didn't change nor was there any kind of extra smell. Good stuff, good price

Bad Winding Quality - look elsewhere
TLDR: terrible winding quality but good plastic Iโve been using eSUN PLA+ consistently since 2022 and itโs always been my go-to filament. Print quality, strength, and consistency were solid enough that I never really considered switchingโuntil now. This particular roll of white PLA+ was wound extremely poorly. The filament had multiple overlaps and tight crossovers on the spool, which led to it catching during prints. As shown in the attached image, this caused inconsistent feeding and ultimately resulted in several failed prints. These werenโt minor issues eitherโit fully interrupted prints that had been running fine otherwise. Itโs frustrating because the material itself still prints well when it feeds correctly, but the spool winding quality completely undermines that. After relying on eSUN for years, this is the first time Iโve had to seriously reconsider using their filament. Based on this experience, Iโd recommend others look into alternative brands unless eSUN improves their spool winding consistency. Itโs just not worth the risk of failed prints.

Delivered in elevator
The product itself is sound. It is the cheapest PLA filament I have ever bought. One downside is that it wonโt fit in my A1 AMS, but it makes it all so much more affordable. One thing that bothers me though is the delivery, it was left in the elevator of our apartment complex without telling me a word about it. As I live on the first inhabited floor, I never take the elevator. I talked to neighbours and called customer support. I thought it got stolen because a big amazon package could be something pricy. Eventually before I went to sleep, a neighbour rang the doorbell, he told me that a package to my name was in the elevator. It is very inconvenient to have it delivered like this and not have any information about its location. All I knew is that it got marked as delivered. My delivery instructions also state that I want it left in front of my door if delivery fails, not in the elevator..

Good Filament
Works a little bit less good than bambu lab pla but that is expected with the a1 mini. Is cheap for it's quality!
