This wet strength tissue paper is really robust when using with water and paints. It has a strength and resilience that ordinary tissue paper does not have. The functionality is brilliant because it will take quite a lot of punishment without tearing. I find it really easy to use for creating beautiful collage papers that are nice and lightweight. The size is perfect because the large sheets give you the option of working at a bigger size, or cutting them down. This pack is great value for money too. I have been on a quest to find a really thin, printable paper for my mixed media art. I want to print my own images, cut them out and glue them onto various flat surfaces like gallery-style canvas, water-colour paper, board etc. I want the paper to be tough and workable, with minimum tearing, wrinkling and bubbles. A paper so thin that the edges are barely visible when stuck down. So I purchased this Wet Strength Tissue Paper for my experiments and projects - with great success. It is printable. I put it through my inkjet printer by gently attaching it to a normal printer paper sheet using a glue stick lightly on the edges. Colours turned out good and could be tweaked using the printer settings. My printed images were cut out easily using scissors. I cut as intricately as possible close to the image, leaving about 2mm all round. I believe that a smooth, firm surface would be best for my ideas, but I do have a lot of gallery-style canvases (the ones with the wooden frame that can be bought in packs.) So I used them for my tests, placing some mount board underneath the canvas to help create a firm surface. The hardest part was finding something to stick the print onto the surface. Some glues made the ink run and smudge so were no good at all. Others dried too quickly leaving some parts stuck and others not. Acrylic matte and gloss mediums (various brands) gave best results, but there are many other types and brands of acrylic mediums so my experiments are ongoing! Placing and repositioning the image can be tricky, but just takes lots of practice! As this paper is quite strong it can take a bit of rough treatment like stretching and pulling. I smoothed it out from the centre outwards with fingers first, then used a rounded tool or pin to smooth out or remove bubbles. My printed images range from small 20x20mm to A4 and I'm getting more confident each time! A good thing I have noticed is, as the adhesive dries, the paper's surface seems to flatten any bumps! Reminded me of a freshly wall-papered room - bumps or bubbles seem to disappear as the paste below dries. The cut edges are as close to 'invisible' as I can get and quite acceptable. Though untried as yet, I'm pretty sure that this paper will also be excellent for layering. The sheets are big and my order arrived folded in half, which means I can't print on the folded, crumpled paper. But I'm not complaining coz I can still cut approx 6 x A4 sheets from ONE large sheet (imagine that times 60!) which is ample for my needs and amazing for the price. Anyway, I'm sure the remnants will come in handy for other projects! In all, I think this Wet Strength Tissue Paper is excellent value for money and a really useful material for my purposes and will continue to experiment with it. I also hope to post some pictures at some point. If my review helps just one person out there, I will be a very happy artist!

This wet strength tissue paper is so good and can’t recommend enough . It takes a beating with water inks metallics acrylic , and holds up through all that . It is wonderful for collage and creating textures . Even when overworked with multiple layers , when dry it works so well. I have yet to try on geli plate but see other artists videos and they pull prints very successfully . For the price point it is pretty good, but off course depending on your art workload you can go through it quickly ! However the sheets are so big you can a lot with one . One more thing to note, when fully dried it becomes a beautiful strong paper . I highly recommend this product for artists !

I wanted to print a photo on tissue paper for a craft project. I taped it to a piece of regular 80GSM paper so the printer rollers would take it through and had no problems. No tearing and the ink dried quickly. Far superior to the tissue paper sold at my local hobby store.

Works well for gel printing, doesnt tear easily when wet. Received 15 sheets instead of 10, which I cut into quarters, giving me 60 sheets, perfect oversize for 8 x 10 inch gel plate. Worked out great value for money.

So pleased with my purchase. I am not set for life with Wet Strength Tissue. I use it for gel plate printing and then use the printed tissues in collage. The tissue is strong. Does not fall apart.

This is the correct strength tissue for collage and gelli printing art work! Glad I found it.

Cercavo una carta velina 'wet strength', cioè resistente all'acqua. Lavoro con le piastre gel, e mi occorre per realizzare stampe colorate da usare nei collage. La velina normale non assorbe i colori come questa, si raggrinzisce e spesso si rompe. Questa velina è invece adatta alle necessità di chi lavora con 'gel plate'
