12 x Half Inch Paint Brushes Disposable Economy Brushes 0.5" | 12mm Natural Bristle Laminating Brushes

Bought these brushes to use with Hammerite when paiting 2 tall wrought iron gates and 30ft long railings. Had used up all my 1/2 inch paint brushes and needed something cheap enough to throw away after every use. These were brilliant, hardly shed any bristles and were soft enough to get in all the fiddly bits around the scrolls and on the arrowheads along the top. Would thoroughly recommend for this type of job and at less than 60 pence each doesn't break the bank. I had to throw away after every couple of hours, as the weather was warm and the Hammerite dried very quickly. I ordered a second lot ready for my next project, which arrived by post sooner than stated.

They are very cheap and disposable. Of course, as a result, they do tend to shed a few bristles. For most general purposes, they will be good enough.

Very good value for money

I use these when applying resin, as they are a nice size for the jobs I tend to do and the bristles are surprisingly good. Although they are meant as disposable, I have also used them to apply base coats of paint and have found them to be reusable, no problem. The brush heads come protected in plastic wrraps so the bristles stay in shape. Nice touch. Good little disposable brushes.

Luckily I didn't buy these to do painting, they are for throw away use like wood hardener that destroys brushes. For painting they would be useless. The tips are very long and loose. I've cut them back to about 2cm and the brushes are much better now. They have substance and can be used to get into corners etc.

They arrived individually wrapped, looking very expensive, I checked price I paid to make sure I had right brushes. I bought these as cheap disposable brushes. Ashamed to say I haven’t tried to clean one yet, however I have used them on metal and concrete, with metal paint and other substance, they were well used by end of day. To be honest the cost of specialist cleaner and my time, outweighed the cost of the brush. So I binned mine, I have sneaky feeling husband worked on to clean his though.

Decent quality for cheap brushes

These brushes are great for putting the solvent all around your fitting prior to applying the torch. Watch out though because they have a habit of losing their bristles xx and just having one of these critters in your joint can be enough to create a leak.
