Awesome addition to my jon boat
I love these oars! I like to be able to kick off my motor and row into fishing spots quietly. These are an excellent purchase for the price. I found the oars to be surprisingly sturdy. I'm glad I decided to try these instead of the whole piece oars which cost double.

Solid oars that are doing the job
There was a minor paint drip that needed trimming on one of the oars before it would fit together, but once I did that they fit nice, and have worked great for my 18’ sailboat as the primary propulsion to and from trailer, dock, and shore. They fit in some standard oar sockets that I bought and after coming apart fit nicely under the foredeck. While inland sailing I have been setting them on the cockpit floor between use while out on the water. They’re plenty strong and no complaints so far. The included oar locks are plastic and I was a little skeptical at first but they’ve held up for the couple of trips out so far.

Arrived damaged but they sent replacement grip
Good looking oars, but mine came with a cracked and damaged grip on one of the two oars. Seller sent me a replacement set of grips, but no communication about receiving my message or that they were sending replacement grips.

Great oars, not so great oarlocks
As in other reviews, the plastic oarlocks do not seem very sturdy. Had a set of metal ones on the old oars that fit the new oars and work just fine.

Not consumer friendly; Seller failed to give credit.
Don't do business with this company. One of the oar locks on the oars I purchased broke within 100 strokes under less than a normal load (Just me in a 8' Livinston tender on calm water). OceanSouth charged me a fee of $42.54 to return the oars in violation of California’s Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (Civil Code §1791.1). Maybe it was just one the bad oar lock, but since the OceanSouth is disreputable, you probably don't want to find out.

WOW!
These are perfect for my 13' Boston Whaler tender. Light and in two parts. Awesome, great price vs. much less than for wooden oars. Five Stars! Saw their brochure from the package and will surely buy more items!! BRAVO!

Nice looking / replaced oar locks for safe keeping thou
To be fair, I have not used the orders yet, but I have attached them to boat . They look to be sturdy and as described. By reading the other reviews, I really investigated the ore locks as they were scrutinized quite a bit on the reviews, upon receiving the ores the oarlock did look like they were made of plastic or polymer, and although they looked like they were sturdy, I replaced them with a metal or ore locks .

Worth the premium price.
These aren’t cheap but when they arrived, I was happy to find that they’re substantial. We have a 3m Portabote folding dinghy which is quite wide, so the inflatable dinghy oars we were using were way too short. Now with these 7’6” (~2.3m) oars, it’s easy to row with efficiency. The supplied captive rowlocks even work well with the fittings on the Portabote. Definitely worth the premium price.

Dangerous
The oarlock broke 10 minutes before sunset in 20kn of wind off a deserted island in the middle of the Atlantic. Fortunately we were 2 people and could stand up and paddle. Alone I could not make way. Oars fine, locks garbage
