Very happy with this. I bought this lock and a pull for my pocket door. It turned out that this lock already has a hidden pull built in. I didn’t realize that when I purchased so it was an added bonus.

My experience - the lock mechanism was challenging to engage, but doable. Once trying to unlock, near impossible. I had my wife unlock me with a flathead screwdriver from the other side.I've bought this twice now and the lock was installed from 2 different carpenters on 2 different doors Identical experience with the lock. Not a bad pocket door gadget...but if you insist on having a reliable locking mechanism, continue searching elsewhere in the limited pool of pocket door hardware.

I just installed a pocket door for my closet. This latch was perfect since I wanted a way to lock the door so that my grand kids couldn't get in. Eventually they'll figure out all they need is a coin or the head of a key to unlock the latch from the outside, but by then, maybe they'll learn to put their toys back in the closet when they're done playing with them and I won't have to worry about locking it.

We installed this lock and then flipped it for a pocket door. It worked wonderfully!

I had been searching for the right pocket door hardware for quite a while until I stumbled upon this one. I had tried the Kwikset hardware and several others, but all of the ones I had previously tried were cheap metal clearly made in China that felt like it was going to break on Day 1. The Kwikset hardware I bought barely latched correctly. So it was a relief to finally find something that at least seems like it will last a while.While this set is still not what you would call bulletproof, it was much more sturdy and reliable than anything else I tried. I have had it installed on my door for 6 months and still like it a lot, with no problems so far.

Great packaging and easy to follow instructions. Installing this into a pre-drilled door was a breeze. Looks great and the parts are sturdy. Comes with the striker and a black surround for a cleaner looking install. Locks well and holds tight. Does not unlock from the other side. Can depress the locker if not wanted with a push of the finger.

Nithing fancy but looks good and works!

....at a very reasonable price. I was surprised that there are not more quality, attractive pocket door lock options on the market. This lock is solid and looks very nice. Will easily work to replace an existing doors' established hardware or on a new install. I am very happy with my purchase it is much sturdier than a well known name brand counterpart.Item is lighter in color than pictured. I was actually pleased with the patina it coordinates better with other antique brass fixtures than if it were not.
