JoyJolt Carre 2-Piece Cocktail Glasses Set, 8 Ounce Martini Glasses

These are some impressive glasses for enjoying a wide variety of distilled spirits, or anything else you feel like swigging from these bad boys. They are heavy, whenever I wrap my hand around one, I feel like I'm going to end up as a murder suspect in a "Clue" type scenario; "It was Mr. Grey, in the Kitchen, with the scotch glass." Seriously, these things feel heavy enough to do some major damage to a skull if used as a bludgeon. They come in a great sturdy box, which is attractive enough to not need wrapping paper, allowing you to just attach a bow or ribbon and label right to the box when giving them as a gift. My only gripe is that you only get 2 per box. I was pretty toasted on some tequila when I ordered these during one of the "spend money to save money" days, maybe prime day? Or was it cyber Thursday? You never heard of cyber Thursday? It's any Thursday during which you realize you only have two nice scotch glasses instead of 4 because you were drunk on tequila during the actual sale day to order properly, I mean who does that? Oh right, me! Anyhow, these will hold up well to whiskey stones, but I would avoid playing Scottish Stones Pong with these, sure it starts out well enough, but half way in youre so lit, you end up hurling the stone like youre trying to take down a storefront window in a riot, miss the glass completely, shatter your kitchen window, and nail the mailman just below the nose, earning yourself an assault charge on a federal employee, fun times. On the bright side, you have plenty of chances to use the glasses drinking with the attorney while working on your defense case, then subsequently drinking yourself to sleep, because its better than crying yourself to sleep. Wow, this got dark fast. As an aside, I would not give these as a gift to anyone thats into minimalism, or symmetry. These glasses are the polar opposite of those two concepts. Also, these arent the best choice if you are planning on drinking with the pot dealer down the street, he just turned 14 and has small hands. Bring a paper cup with a dram or two in it if youre trying for the Day Drunk Discount, and stop pouring that little M-effer the good stuff, he smokes like a chimney, taste buds blown, you could literally mix some rubbing alcohol with iced tea, and he wouldn't know the difference., just moan about how expensive and rare it is, and make up some Glenn LeMach sounding name single malt aged 70 years, when he is tipsy buy the QP from him, but pay him for a quarter. Anyway, where was I? Oh right, scotch gasses. Buy em, they're nice. TLDR: You should, I totally tell that one really embarrassing story about you that you never wanted anyone to find out about.

First impression? The packing was spot on, sturdy. The glasses are a good weight, lovely. My Manhattans & Old-Fashions pair nicely with these glasses as the glass is not too delicate, but not too thick. They are easy on the hands and large clear ice cubes fit!

Quite the abstract design which is why I have purchased this set three times. The glasses are eye catching AND sturdy. Love the heavier flat bottom!!💗

These shot glasses are beautiful. They’re sturdy, artistically elegant and easy to hold. Also dishwasher safe, as they are not Crystal, rather they are crafted from thick glass, which is gorgeous. They could be used in many ways: as tiny vases for dried tiny wildflowers, as bathroom glasses for mouthwash, etc., and of course for their intended use as actual shot glasses. They come in a lovely boxed case suitable for elegant gift giving. An excellent buy.

I had a problem with my kids stealing my rocks glasses to use in their rooms... an then breaking them. I was forced to buy rocks glasses that even air-headed teenagers could not mistake for their own personal water dish. Enter these Joy Jolt glasses. They look good and stand out. I brought my kids to the side of the kitchen and explained in no uncertain "dad voice" terms that these glasses are not for them. So far, due to the stylish, neo-cubist design, my kids have left these glasses in the cupboard for my drinking pleasure. So that's a big plus. These things hold the cold well. When I make an old fashioned (or currently a margarita) and sit at my computer cussing out ten year-olds in Call of Duty, my drink stays cold. Plus, the squared off design stays put in my palm and fingers even when said palm and fingers are covered in cheeto dust. The glasses are also quite appealing and if it weren't for this lovely pandemic I would be proud to show them off to guests we have over at the house. But for now I'll just have to truly appreciate them all by myself.

I'm editing my original review. Initially, the glasses arrived broken (the packaging was inadequate to protect them). I posted as much, and asked for a refund... did not reorder. However this morning, I received a re-send of these glasses with a lovely note from the seller. This was unexpected and convinced me that this is a company who truly cares about its customers, the quality of its products, and its service model. The package received today was extremely well packed (tons of bubble wrap), and the glasses were in perfect condition. Now as to the glasses themselves. They are really quite stunning and of good quality. Great gift for someone who enjoys craft cocktails or just a devoted scotch (or bourbon) drinker. My only note is that they are they are larger in size and heavier than I would like. A slightly scaled down version would be ideal. But still, these are gorgeous, and I highly recommend them. My attached photo depicts one of these glasses with diagonal ice... visually beautiful, and also chills your spirits without melting quickly. Easy to do - just pour in some spring water, and freeze at an angle. Retrieve from freezer when ready to pour/serve. Works well with a thick, heavy glass like this one, that is resistant to the impact of repeated freezing and thawing over time.

These martini glasses are unique and quite eye-catching. They are sturdy and have a great modern look.

I wanted a fancy glass to sip fancy drinks out of, without the classical historical LARPing. This is a great way to make your drinks feel fancy but also modern or impress some guests with! The packaging was nice (although a bit dented, thanks Amazon) and the glasses are thick, heavy and sturdy. If I needed more glasses of this size I would absolutely come back to this listing. Note: it’s probably thicker/bigger and heavier than you think it is. At first I was a little put off by this but after using it a couple times I consider it a plus.
