I am a big fan of stone coasters. These did not let me down. They are very pretty, and absorb moisture as advertised. These are thicker but not as big around as some older stone coasters I have, but I haven't found any glass I have to be too big. They look nice on my new coffee table without a holder, since the bottoms have a cork layer They do not scratch. Follow the company's direction for cleaning stains (which I have not yet needed, but know from older ones) and they will last a long time.

I love the design and Thirstystone always absorbs liquid. I even discovered that it stays warm when I use it for my hot coffee! Love them!

Very beautiful, absorbs well

We like dragonflies and dislike rings on furniture from condensation on beverage glasses. We’ve always had good luck with Thirsty Stone coasters. The coasters are very pretty and do a great job of absorbing water. The coasters are made from some kind of stone and have a nice cork backing to protect the surface of tables. I have other sets of Thirsty Stone coasters and have always been happy with all of them.

Unfortunately the beautiful image painted on forms a nonabsorbent layer that completely kills the functionality in humid climates. Highly recommend getting the sandstone only without an image. Otherwise - weight and size are great.

These are beautiful and functional and would be great for gifting! The box my set was in was badly torn up but the coasters were not damaged. The backside is cork so it doesn’t scratch the furniture.

These coasters are better than the nice ones I've been buying for years! Nice and thick, with a beautiful design! The design has lasted perfectly and without staining, like my other ones. There is an issue , though, that you might want to know beforehand: these coasters are a much lighter color than the photo shown on Amazon. That is why I gave them 4 stars. I will try to add a photo.

Bought a few weeks ago and it's winter, so I haven't had any iced drinks on it (apparently this is an issue for folks... how well will it absorb?) What I can say is that they're heavy, thick and beautiful. Note that the colors are muted (grainy) which makes them, in my opinion, even better looking. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. I'll report back if they don't absorb well. **EDIT** They do not absorb liquid at all. But never stopped using them.
