So, first off, no instructions come with this. Normally when that happens, the seller emails the instructions but if they did, I missed them. I watched some videos and they showed cutting wires, etc. Turn out, I just had to remove the cover off over the latch, unplug the existing light, plug it into the new light, plug that into the power and then tuck the light around the edge of the frunk. Looks great.

Less than 2 months after installation the light no longer works. I took my frunk bay apart (again) and checked the wiring. I found no problems but did quickly detach and re-attach the negative wire to "reboot" the bluetooth/controller module. Light is still dead. Tried to return via Amazon but they said its no longer eligible for return. So happy (not). Knocked off another star but thinking I should have knocked off more since its dead after less than 2 months use?******************************************Before purchasing I watched several review/installation YouTube videos on this product which shows the wiring only had to tap into the existing light/release button. Easy. For my Model Y 2023 the Amazon post pointed me to the only variant that would work (RGB version). so I bought that. When I went to install I found out I ALSO HAD TO TAP INTO THE 12-VOLT car battery which required a lot more disassembly of the Frunk bay. Connecting to ground was easy but connecting to the positive screw post that Tesla provides requires a nut that Hansshow does not provide and is not on the car. When I realized this I had to put my frunk back together and begin a 2+ hour quest at AutoZone and Home Depot to find the elusive nut since none of my spare parts fit. I also googled on-line but found no hits. It appears to be a Metric #8 but neither the course or fine threads would fit. I tried 5/16 nuts but again the threads at the very least was not right. I assume Tesla made the threading uncommon to prevent people from easily tapping into it? Anyway, I jury rigged the connection and completed the assembly so the light works fine but I am still in search of the correct flanged nut.

The media could not be loaded.  Consistently found my frunk to be dark, so was happy to find this easy to install option. You control the color setting from an iPhone app. The attached video shows install steps and some color options. Nice addition to my 2022 Model Y.

I originally tapped the frunk button harness with iNextStation led rope lights but was getting issues with consistent power. This led kit for the frunk solved that. It was comparable in terms of price with guaranteed proper connection. The kit has a Y for the harness so it's true plug and play. Do it right the first time and just get this. Tapping existing wire is frowned on by Tesla service too fyi! These LEDs were noticably brighter than iNextStation. I think this uses 5050 LEDs and iNextStation use 2835s. Don't quote me on that but it's VERY noticable in person in terms of brightness. I uninstalled iNextStation rope LEDs and installed hansshow led frunk leds back to back. In addition, I could barely see iNextStation in the day time, but the hansshow frunk led I could clearly see during the day time. Hansshow has excellent products! Be unique, make your Tesla your own. Cheers! Pictures with stuff in frunk is an old iNextStation LEDs, frunk picture with nothing in it is the hansshow kit. The length was correct and installed on 2019 model 3 performance. I didn't have to cut or do anything of that sort. Just installed and that's it.

No instructions were provided with this product, and the videos online I could fine were models that didn’t have the extra connections to the battery. I figured it out, but it wasn’t a “5 minute install”. I had to pull out the Frunk liner to neatly run the wires for the battery connection, which required a socket and removal of 4 bolts. It isn’t hard but some instructions to confirm what I was doing would have been nice.

The media could not be loaded.  Decided to post a review of my successful install of the hansshow frunk lights. I installed it on a 2021 Tesla Model 3 Long Range. There was no cutting or drilling required. I attached the picture of how I ran the wires. Looks nice and clean on the inside. The light is nice and bright so you can see what you have in the frunk. Install took only 10 mins to do, so very easy for anyone to DIY it. The lights are controlled by the app and works well. Would recommend if you have a tesla model 3 and use the frunk regularly

The reason for the 3 stars is because by adding this light the button for the power frunk no longer works.

The media could not be loaded.  It works well with Hanshow power Frunk, just make sure you get the latest version of this light for the the power Frunk button to work.

Connection was faulty. Had to pay to return, never received refund.
