Great for postpartum
Ended up getting a second-degree tear and terrible piles following labour and used these a couple of times after keeping them in the freezer and they offered some much-needed relief.I found it was to easier lie down and hold them in place myself rather than fixing them onto my underwear and sitting down as the pads weren't quite sitting where I needed them to go. Would have been helpful if they stayed cool a little longer, even after keeping them in the freezer.

Good cooling or warming pads. Comfortable? Don't know
I currently have osteoarthritis problems, and these have helped. They are actually a convenient size and shape for most parts of the anatomy, but to test them for perineal use, I passed them to a female family member. Here is her report:"The packaging is simple and recyclable. The pads look quality and the instructions were clear .The packs heated up well. I used the microwave and it was simple and effective. The washable covers and sanitary pad covers are easily washable and easy to dry .They froze well and provided comfort for the swelling .The colour of the pads is bright purple and the white writing on the front of the pads is very clear. I would say a quality product that would be useful after a difficult birth."I think the idea of printing instructions on the pads themselves is a good idea. Notice that she did mention comfort. To me, they look too broad and bulky to be worn comfortably, but I preferred not to delve too deeply into that subject. My guess is that you would not want to move around much with them on.

Lovely cool feeling
Yes, product arrived in really lovely packaging and was excited to open and discover how these worked I suffer with a condition called lighten sclerosis. It is a very painful condition of the Vulva. I am currently wearing the cold pad straight from the freezer and it is really soothing. There is no hard edges and I’ve put it in the period liner and it is giving me a cooling pain free moment. At this moment I will say that I am loving this product. So after just 15 minutes it wasn’t cold anymore. So if you are prepared to spend £14.59 which was the price at the time of my review for 15 minutes of lovely relief then these are fantastic.

Really useful
I was in such agony. These really did help although the material is not pleasant to touch. They can also be used as cold pads for other areas and first aid so definitely useful to have. Doesn’t stay cold that long however and seems a bit overpriced, especially given the unpleasant fabric.

Perfect for new or expectant mothers
This set of hot and cold pads are ideal for new mothers or expectant mothers getting ready for birth. The set includes 2 gel pads and 4 reusable sleeves. The gel packs are filled with medical grade gel which is not completely solid even when frozen, it can mould to the shape of your body for additional comfort. The gel pads can also be put in the microwave to be used as a warm compress if preferred.Aside from postpartum use, these pads can be used to soothe cramping and irritation too.Happy to recommend 😊

Useful heating/cooling pads for aches and pains
As someone who has suffered with both severe menstrual pain and severe migraines for a number of years, the use of both heating and cooling pads are something I find extremely important day to day. When I saw this set of two pads that were able to be both heated and cooled I thought it would be a good idea to try.The pack comes with 2 of the individual heat/cold gell pads, 2 of the fleece covers for wearing the heat pad in your underwear for perennial relief and 2 soft covers for use elsewhere (IE muscle injury etc).My initial impressions were strong. The gell pads felt flexible and secure, and the removable cloth covers were very soft and easy to put the pad into and out of.When I first heated the pad in my microwave , I followed the instructions and heated it for the full 20 seconds it suggested. It didn't seem to hold its heat very well to begin with, so I allowed it to cool slightly and tried it again for another 15 seconds. I found this helped greatly as it continued to stay warm for a while afterwards. As I struggle with menstrual and back pain I felt this would be a great alternative to a traditional hot water bottle, as the pad is very flexible and moulds to the shape of your body. It seemed to stay warm for about 15/20 minutes after initial heating so it would reduce the risk of injury by leaving it on your skin for too long. The gell pads can also be cooled, either in the fridge or freezer. I placed the pad into the freezer for 25 mins as directed and it was semi frozen, but still flexible enough to wrap around my wrist, which would help with injuries etc. As I get migraines regularly, I found that being able to shape the flexible cooling pad around my forehead helped significantly to reduce the stress and pain I was in. It stayed fairly cold for about 10-15 mins and could potentially stay colder for longer if you let it freeze for a longer period of time. The soft cloth covers are machine washable and very soft and easy to place the gell pad into before use.Overall I found them easy to use and a helpful alternative to traditional heat packs and hot water bottles.

A must for new mums
My sister just had her baby so we put these to work straight away as she gave birth earlier than expected, she absolutely loves them and wishes she knew about them first time round a few years back, they are very easy to use and clean, the pain relief and soothing is absolutely brilliant, she’s said they are most definitely worth every penny, she highly recommends
