Makes a Dull Blade Happy
I just recently received this sharper rod because I needed to sharpen my blades and I did not have a sharpener. Let me just say it works great. My knives are now very sharp and I would recommend to anyone to buy

Awesome tool
The sharpener works just as expected. It takes a bit to get used to and get the correct angle down. I suggest watching a few You Tube videos before use. Once you get the motin down, its a cool tool.

Not fit for purpose
This is way too soft to be of any use. The idea of a steel is the metal is harder than the blade you are putting an edge on. Useless put the money towards a quality item instead. Binned it.

Not for me
Doesn't seem to sharpen knives very well, perhaps I'm not using it properly. It has been consigned to the bin and I have gone back to my AnySharp sharpener. Much better at the job, and cheaper too!
