Realistic flames

Quality issues!
So after waiting 7years to be able to get a Dimplex opti mist I finally was able to buy one. So you can imagine my upmost disappointment and disbelief when I opened the box, took out the fire and at the bottem on the packing was a screw. On investigation where this could have come from I found two legs not secure, a third almost tight and one I was actually happy with. I'm quite a forgiving person so I tried my best to put the screw back but to no avail. All the self tapping screws are just screwed into really thin metal so once they are loose forget it, they just turn with nothing to grip onto. If using thin metal why not use nuts, washer and bolts for goodness sake! As I was picking it up to pack away for return the foot came off completely. All I can say is thank goodness I wasn't actually using it at the time and not returning it.Pure cost cutting at its worst. Now am a really peeved off customer who very rarely puts down a bad review, who will have to wait again to get a fire, its even started to put me off dimplex. To be honest you pay quite alot of money just to get steam looking like a fire but I really did like them.

Realistic fire
The fire is well made and looks and works great. The flame and smoke are a nice touch. Only 4 stars as I have to fill the water tank daily to enable smoke and flame effect which is a bit of a nuisance The heater is nice for heating up a room if it’s a bit chilly.

Lovely realistic very reasonably priced stove.
Prompt delivery. This fire is very simple to set up, and very realistic. The Optimist function is so clever and we have put scented pine cones inside as there is no risk of anything catching fire so it now smells gorgeous as it’s on. It fits beautifully in our conservatory, we bought a slate hearth for it to sit on. Was also an absolute bargain and much cheaper than anywhere else on the internet.Would highly recommend it.

Excellent. Verry quiet. Marvellous effect. Only problem was that the stove was left at the front door upside down and it was about to rain even though we asked for items to be left in the shed if no answer.
