Best running buy of the year so far, helps get you out of the door in the cold!
Fits beautifully, no chaffing, nice and cosy even during the very chilly English weather during January February and March. Like the boxers and short sleeved undershirt I bought at the same time it wicks moisture very effectively and does not leave you feeling wet even when on a recovery section. Cant recommend them highly enough. The long sleeve undershirt has been my fave wear during the very cold weather, along with the boxers it has served extremely well and made taking that first stop out of the door much easier on some cold days! Not cheap but exactly right to do the job I needed doing, as a generally very moist runner who had previously felt the chill if I stopped or slowed these keep me warm even when they are wicking hard! Merino underarmour were recommended on twitter #runchat by other runners to my specific problem of being a runner who got very very wet on runs and really needed something to help make running in the cold months easier, so that I wasnt heating up running then cooling very quickly, being wet, when recovering. these make winter running much more comfy! I bought a spare short sleeved undershirt and boxers at the same time (having been given another short sleeve undershirt shirt for Christmas) and they have done superb service during the winter. I can see that in early Autumn the short sleeves will come into thier own. Its now (late March) getting a little too warm for the undershirts but the boxers are still perfect!

This product is warm, breathes well and is odourless after hours of physical exercise.
I am a competitive coastal rower and an avid hill walker in North Wales, UK. I wear my long sleeve skin tight Merino as a base layer under a Buffalo top and it the perfect combination for night time rowing and hill walking. I naturally sweat a lot doing the slightest of exercise, and my Marino breathes through to my Buffalo which wicks the sweat away. Despite their price I have now got two long sleeve and two short sleeve. For sheer comfort I couldn't be happier with the performance of this product, and well worth the price.

short arm length for taller people for medium size
garment medium size 38-40" chest definitely has short arm length for taller people, the tight cuff (which should be a benefit for this item) , lets you feel this short arm length by sitting higher on the arm, tighter than it should, which would feel different to you when worn. In use for cycling, with stretched out arms , the shorter arm length surprisingly was not felt and the extra 210 merino weight came into its own on a 5 degrees ride,, feeling the garment you could feel the trapped heat within the garment, this benefit outweighed the arm issue which might even have reduced cold air flow up arms. This garment is a tighter fit for 40" chest, (designed this way), I hope it does not shrink when washed, It does not itch, feels great, neck issue raised by some is there, it sometimes just does always sit the same as other quality base layers, pulling down front seems to fix neckline, medium chest persons do not normally have body builders neck. although the neck size is ok, with the short arms I immediately ordered the always long armed medium Rohan 150 merino base layer at the same price, this product was 40% polyester and comparison of products showed the brass monkey bass layer would always be considerably warmer, Concluding, this amazon purchase has worked out with the the perfect result, The longer arms of the Rohan (not cuffed), and its more relaxed fit at medium size, gives me the combination of of 360 grams of merino base layer when worn together, the sizing and cuffs of both garments acting perfectly together, roll on that colder weather

Really impressive
I am really impressed by this. Iโve just worn it on a pretty fast and long walk, and it worked brilliantly without a midlayer. I didnโt get sweaty at all, even though I was walking fast and was toasty warm. It fits me really well. Iโm usually between a small and medium, and this medium is quite close-fitting, so, if in doubt, size up. Iโm very pleased that the arms are not too long. Very often with merino baselayers, the arms are too long, but as other reviewers have said, the arms on this are not too long. Of course, that means that if youโve got low arms, you shouldnโt get this top! Very impressive piece of kit!

Well made, warm comfortable product
Dispatched and arrived in a matter of days. Really good well made garment that definitely works when used as a base layer. Layered it with a couple of other layers and then my coat and never felt a thing in minus 12 cold snap. Could if you wanted just wear it as a top as it looks good and fits very well. I am 6 ft tall and slim athletic build and the small fits me like a glove. Merino is definitely the way to go for layering and would definitely recommend this garment and product.

Hmmmm
So I recently started buying Mons Royal yotei base layers which are phenomenal merino garments. I enjoyed sleeping in one so much I thought I should find a cheaper merino alternative for bed time use. Firstly, im a 18 stone / 120kg man, about 6' / 2m tall, so broad but not enormous. The 3XL is just about a serviceable size. The sleeves have nothing spare and ride up a little, tolerable for bed but for outdoors or fashion use perhaps unacceptable. I have a 46" chest and the neck seam runs a bit low and the tails ride a bit high. I can tuck it in, but its not the reliable overlap on the Mons Royal, which is ยฃ100 or thereabouts for comparison. Secondly, Im not convinced by the 215g/m2 if thats what they mean in the blurb. My several Mons shirts all claim 170-200 g/m2 and they all feel thicker than this. To give an example I can sit in my living room in the Mons whether heated or un heated comfortably watching tv. In this one i do feel drafts, so wear a cardigan. Its clearly a more budget version of the Mons, and to be fair its nearly half the price. Im sure it will function admirably as a base layer compared to polyester alternatives, but just dont expect supreme technical performance that you might get from a ยฃ100 alternative.

Great quality at an affordable price
The best thing is that this is 100% merino at this price. I was expecting some drawback given the price, but no, Iโve tested it, itโs warm and not itchy whatsoever. The matching pants are a must too.

Very high quality product
Same as the pants, these are brilliant. Kept me very warm in some very cold times. Getting wet or sweating didn't matter either as it seemed to be that it was soaked through and warm straight away! Often I was getting home and taking off the top to feel it is actually soaked! Needless to say the first few times was a pleasant surprise!

Awesome
They are very light, but warm. Easy care. And you can wear them for a few days before you need to wash them :-)
