These wooden spoons are carved out of a single piece of wood, not glued like most you find. They are smooth and stay that way after washing. I only hand wash them as I think they will not dry out like they would from the harsh soap and high heat of a dishwasher. They are sturdy and stand up to mixing thick soup, stew, and Mac and Cheese with ease. I just hand wash them with mild soap and water and let them air dry. The food just slips right off. They are a bit more expensive, but are worth it because I don't believe I will have to replace them after a year like I did ones that are glued pieces of slats that form the different utensils shapes. I'm going to buy the rest of the collection now that I have tried and love the spoons.

I really like these spoons. I read most of the reviews before I decided to buy. I realize I am just starting to use these spoons in my cooking. I may feel differently if my spoons split or chip but I am okay with that chance. I love the depth of these spoons. I have other wooden spoons I really like to use but they are all shallow. I have kept my plastic spoons I’ve had for 20+ years to use as serving spoons but I would like to convert to all wood cooking utensils but I haven’t found the wood utensils that could allow this to happen until maybe now. I just bought the other 4 pack of Ayesha’s wood utensils to try the slotted spoon and spatulas. I did check on the possibility of a latex reaction with use. People with latex allergies probably shouldn’t take a chance with these spoons. It’s unfortunate but I hope these tools may set me free from plastic.

I absolutely love these spoons. I am picky about my cooking utensils, and researched different brands and wood species before purchasing these.I will start with the cons, because there is only one, and it certainly is not a deal breaker. There is a key word in the description that I should have paid attention to, it says SEALED not SEASONED with mineral oil. I believe this mineral oil has something else mixed with it that creates a a hard, plastic like, finish on the spoon. I prefer my wood kitchen gadgets to be natural, without the use of hard coatings, and only seasoned with food grade nut oils and beeswax.I refinish furniture and other small wood objects regularly, and I also only use wood cutting boards and wood utensils. From experience I am very familiar with the difference in the feel and water/moisture resistance of wood products that are SEALED with a hard coat which doesn't require oiling (not food safe) versus SEASONED with food grade oil and wax. I didn't feel safe using these without sanding them and seasoning them myself with food grade nut oils and beeswax.That said, sanding them was a breeze since they were already sanded to near perfection upon receipt. And seasoning them is no different than seasoning my other wooden kitchen tools, which I do regularly.PROS: Beautifully cut and smoothly sanded, single piece of hardwood. Extra spoon bowl makes ladling sauces, soups, stews, etc, a wonderful experience.

These are awesome wooden spoons!! Much better Quality than others I’ve purchased. Unfortunately the first set I received one of the spoons was broken off at the tip. I liked them so much I did reorder and all was ok. I definitely recommend them.

I had this set on my list for a while. I chose to wait until after Xmas to purchase it for myself. I purchased the 4-piece tool set first and loved it so I thought I would buy this to add to my collection. I absolutely love these spoons. I haven't purchased wooden spoons in a long while because of the quality but when I bought the tool set, I had to buy more. The quality is great. The shape is great. They're not too big, perfect size for what I need. I highly recommend these sets. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I ordered a bunch of wooden spoons from different brands at the same time to replace some old ones in my kitchen. I find these are my go-to spoons for cheesy dishes. These are hard spoons with some type of coating on them that makes them easier to clean than regular, porous wooden spoons. Thus, when making cheesy dishes, I always grab one of these. You can soak these if needed without issue due to the coating, and you don’t need to seal them with mineral oil like some regular wooden spoons. I gave these 4 stars because I wish they had longer handles. These are shorter than I would like. But otherwise, the spoon bowl is large to help with stirring. These are not like super high quality olive wood wooden spoons, but for certain dishes, these are invaluable for the ease of cleaning alone. I might consider buying more if they made some with longer handles.

I've had these for a few years now and they're still working great. Just clean them when you're done and avoid the dishwasher. Great to use on non-stick surfaces.

I don’t know this lady that has her name on these spoons, but she must know what she is doing. I love this set! It’s perfect to use with my enameled cast iron, like it was designed just for it. These do not look cheap, or like they could break any time soon, and they are a nice color. I’m very pleased.
