This is an attractive plate, made from thick porcelain and fairly robust as a result. The design is attractive, albeit a little less vibrant than it appears in the product listing. It’s well formed and the transfer print is neatly applied and shows attention to detail in the design. The plate is deeper than usual, which helps to contain the contents on a trip into the garden, whilst standing at a buffet or just if you like to pile it high! The plate is available singly, so you can make up whatever set you choose, mixing or matching the design and adding other pieces from the range. It also means you can replace breakages, if necessary, as you go along without needing to buy an entire tea set. Although the plate is lovely, it is not well presented on arrival, shipping in just expanded paper wrap and in a bag; it isn’t always a successful shipping experience, so order in advance of need so you can swap out any breakages. I would wrap in tissue if you are considering gifting as that will make it look much better.
