I switched to purple gel ink pens at work. For medical records, we have to use blue or black ink. With these purple ink pens, nobody has fussed and nothing I turned in has been rejected. Plus... I feel the need to stand out from time to time. So... looking for a purple ink pens. I've tried the Bic Inkjoys (which are very good but not as good as the Pentel gel inks) and various other brands including a Montblanc Beatles version purple but the Pentels write the best (smooth and easy flowing). Because gel ink gets used much faster, I bought this box of 12 refilles (0.7 mm - don't like the thinner 0.5 mm version but that's personal taste and preference) and it was much cheaper this way. I have three different versions of the Pentel gel ink pens and use these for all three of them. But my friends and colleagues know who wrote what once they see the paperwork and the ink. In this world of ours... it's good to stand out sometimes.

I love these pens, but I didn't realize that I love the needle tip (.7) even better than the metal tip (.7). Once I realized, I bought these needle tip refills to put in the pen casing when they run out. They were delivered the next day, I already tried one out, they are good. Less expensive than the product web site, because I have to buy individuals there. I got blue and violet, I like having different colors to annotate my own notes.

August 29, 2019 I bought blue and red 0,7 mm refills for my Pentel Energel Retractable pens (BL-407) in 2018 August. I am constantly using my pens since then and currently I am using 3rd refills for both colours. I shall admit that they are still writing very bright and clean like the first day I received them. I store refills in their original paper box at normal conditions, nothing special. I am more than satisfied with this product and certainly recommend if you consider buying one for yourself. I will try to put another update next year around this time. January 20, 2021 edit : I still use my pens with those refills and their qualities remain the same, ie. their color, flow, brightness etc. I still highly recommend those refills. July 31,2023 edit : I continue to use those same refills (bought in 2019) and they stand the test of time perfectly. Also all my notebooks written by those refills hold bright enough. Very impressive and highly recommended.

Love the way these pens feel and write. I’ve never had any issues with them leaking. Seems like the ink dries very quickly bc it rarely smears like other gel pens. They do run out of ink pretty quickly, so that can get a bit expensive. However, I guess you’re paying for quality since they don’t leak or smear and they’re a pleasure to use.

I LOVE THESE!!! i don't rave on many products, but these are incredible. I have used the pentel energel- BL407 pen for a long time now, and the standard tip energel refills are good, but i took a chance on these needle tips awhile back ( btw I HATE 99.99% of all needle tips I've tried), these have changed my opinion about the possibility of needle tips being viable in daily, on office use again. Most needle tips, (as I'm sure most are aware of) dig into the paper or document your trying to write on, and generally feel scratchy and terrible. These are SMOOTH like a ball point but with needle tip precision, and ink dispersal. 100% will keep buying (same with the other Colors).

I love using Pentel's EnerGel pens. I use the 0.7 refill in blue. The cool thing about these refills is that they come in 2 types of tips. There is the standard rollerball tip, and there is the needle tip. I used to use a different pen that only came in the needle tip and I loved it. I just got used to it. When I saw these refills I fell in love and was so happy because the pens I used to use were becoming scarce and difficult to find at a reasonable price. I use these pens a majority of the time, and use the refills in the 2 alloy pens I have. These write really smooth, don't skip, and you barely have to apply pressure as you write. These pens glide across the paper like butter!

It is good pen, but I didn't find it as smooth or deep coloured as Pilot V7. Also, price is more. Thus, sticking to V7 is good one for fast writing. Thickness is okayish.

I love using pentel energel gel pens. But for refils I had to buy new pens, and I don't want collect plastic waste. So when I saw these refills on Amazon in the colors I love the most - pink and purple... so I ordered them. Well pigmented ink, smooth handwriting and awesome writing experience. Delivered a day before expected delivery date.
