Iluminum ILUS207-3 22-Inch Tabletop Water Cooler Dispenser with LCD Display Hot, Cold and Room Temperature, Silver

So I purchased this countertop water cooler to replace another cheap white full size stand on the floor water cooler. I was tired of how much space the old water cooler took up on the floor and I was looking for a stainless steel countertop cooler to match my kitchen. This water cooler is made of silver colored plastic. It has a fancy readout on a blue lcd screen that shows you the temperatures of both the hot and cold water (Only in celsius, mind you). I appreciate that it is pretty, but the display can actually be distracting- there is a lot going on- there are animated water droplets and other stuff constantly moving. We don't really use the hot side, but the fact that this cooler has three options- hot, cold and room temperature is nice. This unit does not seem to cool the water as much as my other water cooler does. The other one is energy star too, but it is colder- I have this cooler set at 6 degrees C, but it doesn't seem to have the capability of lowering below 9 or 10 degrees C. I don't have the hot water on at all, so I don't know if this is an issue with this particular unit or not, but the other unit had colder water. Part of me wants to return it, as it fell short of my expectation, but repackaging it and sending it back via ups seems like too much work. Everyone makes comments on how pretty it is. Also, the water does not come out of the taps very quickly. While it isn't as bad as some of the Avanti units I have seen, again, my old generic white water cooler filled the glasses faster. At $169, this unit is more than any other water cooler I have seen, and it was my idea to buy the matching water filter unit at some point. We are still using an older pur water filter for the water cooler, and once we finish off our pur filter refills, we might buy it since it matches nicely.

I wanted to like this unit. Only one I found with hot, cold, and room temp. It was OK for the first 2 weeks.. (questionable water taste aside). However, the hot water stopped heating after 3 weeks, and based on a lot of other reviewers with the same problem, I'm sending this back and will look alternate more expensive units.

I bought this as a replacement for my 10 year+ old dispenser, which was still working, but not as well as it had when it was new. WRONG CHOICE!!!!!! The first one which was shipped I returned immediately, as the cold water function did not work. The replacement seemed fine; the unit is attractive. And it worked - for almost 7 weeks!!!! The hot water coil has now stopped working apparently, since I can get no hot water - which is the main reason I bought the unit. Overall - when it was briefly working, after the replacement, I was quite pleased with the unit, except for the fact that it's displays are a bit annoying. But to have the second one stop working after only a few weeks makes me wish I could rate it even lower than 1 star. The display (blinking lights) still works - goes thru it's little dance and says it's heating the water - only trouble----it isn't. This is a bulky piece, and I am elderly, so having to return it a second time is not pleasing me very much, if indeed I can return it to either Amazon or the original mfg. My suggestion to those reading this, based on my experiences, is look for a different dispenser if you want one that will work for more than a short time. If you just want something attractive to sit on your counter, and dispense room temperature water, then this may be a good choice. Personally, I suggest not wasting your money. PS - Additional comments: After writing this review, the third (replacement)one seems to be working well. Overall I do like the product, when it works. One feature that I find very convenient is the ability to easily change the temperature of both the hot and cold water, with the controls at the front, easy to reach. And this is also an energy-saving feature - shut it off at night, when you won't be using it. When it's turned back on in the morning, it remembers the settings, and quickly returns to the previously set temps. This is also an advantage if you live in an area where there are frequent power outages. If you can get one that works - I take back what I said in my first review - it's a good product.

I purchased this product because its convenient size and good looks. I love the hot water because it helps me make my baby's bottles very quickly as I don't have to heat any water. The cold water is nice and you can choose your desire temperature. Usually if I pour several glasses in a row, the first 2 or 3 glasses come out the coldest and then the rest not as cold, but the're cold enough for me. The alternative of having the room temperature as well is great since my mother does not take any cold water. The LCD is a nice gadget, but I don't really pay attention to it, only to set the temperatures. I do hope in the future they set the temperature in Fahrenheit (now in Celsius) and more models can include this nice feature. Overall I am very happy with my unit

I'm on my second one, the first lasted a year then the hot water side went out and wouldn't heat anymore. It had a 2 year warranty so the company was going to fix it and return, they could never get their stuff together to send a shipping container for return, so after about a month sent a new one and had me return the damaged one in the same shipping container. Sound great right? Well the second one lasted 6 months and the hot water went out and wouldn't heat anymore. The company says since they replaced it once they won't honor the warranty anymore. Oh well now have a cold water dispenser for the time being, then a boat anchor.

After two months, the hot water stops working.. Call Illuminum customer service and they were prompt to replace a new one...it looks good. One bad side is it is not child proof hot water knob.
