Another fan of this great saw...
I've used it a lot over the last year for clearing my garden and sawing logs, cutting through many small tree trunks up to about 200mm diameter. The aggressive toothing arrangement, blade shape and low-friction coating allow you to cut through wood amazingly quickly and easily and it feels good in the hand - it's become one of my favourite tools. For smaller logs I use this in preference to my chainsaw - not quite as quick but a lot safer, quieter and provides some excercise. After a while the low-friction coating starts to wear off the blade and this causes the performance to fall off a bit but it's still very good after a year of heavy cutting. Not the cheapest of its kind but definietely a quality tool, much better made and noticeably quicker-cutting than my neighbour's cheaper version. If it got lost or broken I'd buy a new one like a shot - what better recommendation can I give?

excellent quality
Used a shorter version of this saw about 14 years ago when they were sandvik. Cut through thick branches with ease at the time and still useful for branches around 3cms thick. This new one is still the high quality that bahco continues to provide - making the removal of thick branches and trunks which can't be reached with a bow saw (Bahco of course) easy. Amazon say that replacements blades are available - I've yet to find them. Tried to get one for my original saw which being a bit smaller has a narrower blade which enables one to get in close with the thicket type shrub. I would not want to be without this saw but I would also like Bahco to provide a smaller narrow bladed saw with a finer tooth for some work.

Very effective, clever and practical.
Very sharp, robust and effective. The hook on the lovely wooden handle not only prevents your hand from sliding off the end, but enables hanging the saw on your ladder, giving you a free hand to guide the tumbling branch. The teeth are set to prevent sawdust clogging as you cut. Be warned though, it is, quite correctly. viciously sharp.

Very effective
An excellent saw let down by a very poor quality guard, so poor it quickly broke and I will have to make another myself.

Lethal Weapon!
This is a savage piece of kit that no gardener should be without. Takes on most pruning jobs without making hard work of it. If it retains its sharpness as well as my old Bahco folding saw, I'll be very happy. Just one word of caution, keep your fingers well clear when using this!

not as good as a basic fiskars I bought
not as good as a basic fiskars I bought, left it outside a while, it rusted but still works ok.

Great saw - goes through wood like a knife through butter
Have bought this twice. Handle fell off the old one, but it had had good use. Very powerful saw, very quick on tough jobs and with a good blade protector

Sharp and strong
A great saw that does exactly what it is supposed to . Replaced an ancient pruning saw that had seen many years of work the new feels that it will go on doing the jib for as many years. Already pruned two large bushes with minimum effort.

Ottimo prodotto
Prodotto eccellente. È il terzo che compro. Gli altri me li hanno rubati. Consente di fare tagli rapidi e perfetti . Negli anni è diventato un po' caro

No corta nada
El diente de tipo tradicional no corta nada , lo mejor es comprar un Serrucho con dentado japones , este no vale nada .

The outdoor community needs to be more aware of this saw
People talk about their "samurai ichiban" or their "silky zubat", but man I'm telling you for 30 dollars you get a 14in pruning saw with a replaceable wooden handle made by an amazing tool company with a great reputation. It rips through wood like everyone says. This is the only pruning saw I'll ever need for camping and going out into the woods and I cant believe I hadn't found it until now, to me this item is a hidden gem that deserves more awareness.
