Effective; affordable as currently discounted but a considered purchase at full-price
A protective and healing serum, 'Derma Treatments Energising Hydration Vitamin Serum 30 ml' normally retails at a substantially higher price than that at which it is currently offered by some.Major ingredients include vitamin E, aloe vera which is a frequent ingredient in many hand creams, skin care products and others, and allantoin which is used in many formulations. Vitamin E is counter-indicative to a number of drugs, most specifically warfarin. Although normally taken orally, Vitamin E can dramatically reduce warfarin's efficiency and result in the formation of blood clots. Whether vitamin E is equally reactive when used on the skin may be a question for warfarin users to raise with their GP or consultant. For the majority of users, there need be no such concerns. The serum is pleasantly fragranced with some lemon and geranium most noticeable, if rather short-lived once applied, and provides limited UV protection although it does not claim a specific SPF strength. The moisturising and anti-inflammatory effects of aloe vera and the skin repairing abilities of allantoin which is used in a great many medically prescribable creams and ointments as well as several over-the-counter alternatives for various skin conditions also apply. Additionally, many plant and seed oils and various other botanical extracts are included of which some provide fragrance and other benefits. A 'pea-sized' amount is suggested which, thanks to its small bead, may suggest a small pile of that volume or an 8-10mm length although the size of the area to which it is to be applied may be a relevant consideration. It was the short bead which was used but comprehensive usage advice would be welcomed.Supplied in a pre-pierced tube to ensure accurate dispensing, it is clear and seemingly colourless, has a medium-thick consistency, is easy to dispense and apply, and a little goes a very long way. Others from the range are specified for face, neck, hands etc but this is not and you may wish to use it where deemed necessary. That may depend on the work you do and pastimes in which you participate, how exposed you may be to harsh winds or environments and how your skin reacts to those situations. Outdoor activities such as rock climbing, cross-country running or cycling could be situations that may require its use. If prone to minor skin abrasions to shins, knees or elbows due to falls or grazes, it may help with those but use on portions of the face and possibly the hands will be most users' choices. For general daily use, it helped improve skin tone and condition by providing good moisturisation. If the serum works for you, it may be worth purchasing an additional tube or two while the current discount applies. If purchased direct from the manufacturers, you will pay the standard retail price of £77 for one and the tube is quite small! At standard pricing, there may be a tendency to use it frugally and the purchase may involve greater consideration; at current pricing, it is very affordable and its use less considered and more generous.

More gel than serum
This is a nice serum, which feels great on the skin. I'd describe it more as a gel than a serum but that isn't a problem. It smooths on quickly and absorbs easily with no stickiness.I particularly liked the fresh feel of it, and the light fragrance. it is quite a small tube, but you only need a small pea size amount.I found it perfectly good to wear on its own, but if needed you could were it under moisturiser and/or foundation.

Nice
I like this prduct generally, It is a decent size bottle considering you only use a drop or two, and it contains things I like such as vit E and aloe vera, both known to be good for skin care.I dropped it a star as I am not keen on the fact it is hydrogenated, I prefer if things can avoid this. Maybe it required it, I don't know.Over all it will tske time to see how much I like it but at this point I would give it 4 stars as happy enough.

Skin feeling softer......
This moisturising lotion is quite thick but spreads easily over the skin and is quickly absorbed leaving no greasy feeling. It has a very slight pleasant fragrance and contains Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and Allantoin. Using this twice day certainly leaves my skin feeling softer and well hydrated. It works well as a base layer for my usual foundation. The 30ml tube is small enough to be carried a handbag for use "on the go".Would I pay the original asking price? Not surprising the answer is no - but at the current reduced price it is certainly a good buy.

Feels great on application - long term benefit yet to be decided.
Early days yet for an accurate review of success or failure. However, the cool feel of this gel certainly feels good and seems to negate the horrid itching sensation when the skin flares up. This item contains sufficient gel for many applications, assuming two per day, and I hope it will give good results over time. I have used prescription medication for some time (years) and I am concerned that continued use may cause break-down of skin. Therefore, I am trying non-medicated for a while as a substitute.

A good product, but only for the £10-£20 price range.
There is no doubt this is a good product, my partner used it and found it soothing, smoothing and hydrating to her skin. I tried it myself and agree, and the light fragrance is not too much for male users. However, I have to question the high RRP. At a concessionary price of around £10 this is absolutely a good buy and warrants five stars, but at a premium price I would give it only three as I simply can't see anything superior to this over other good low to mid-range moisturisers. It's quite a thin serum but if applied correctly it's pleasantly hydrating and useful during winter months.

Soothing on the irritated parts of my face, but a rather liquid consistency.
This is a pleasant serum and it does soothe the areas of my face where my skin gets irritated. The consistency of the serum is fairly liquid, which means that you have to squeeze the small tube quite carefully so as not to end up with an excess of the serum on your fingertip as you only really require a pea-sized amount. The scent is not unpleasant, although nothing to get excited about and it dries well on my skin, with no hint of stickiness or tackiness after use. I like the fact that this is paraben free (although I look forward to the time when this doesn't have to be announced, but it standard!) At the discounted rate, currently at £9.99, this is okay as even though it is a small tube, you don't need to use much and so it is fairly good value for money - but I wouldn't want to spend any more that this personally.

Rehydrates and aids repair.
This is a small tube of lightly perfumed serum. It has vitamin E, anti inflammatory properties, UV protection and helps to heal the the skin from damage.I have been using it after a cold wintry dog walk when my skin always feels a bit sore and weatherbeaten. This serum adds moisture and makes my skin feel back to its natural suppleness. You only need a tiny amount as a little goes a long way. It is normally very expensive but on offer at the time of this review with over 80% off so its well worth buying an extra tube.
