Lifting straps are a must for anyone who dead lifts (for most people I think your grip seriously limits your ability and capacity to lift). These Adidas ones are superb: very comfortable, provide great grip and look durable (I guess only time well tell exactly how durable they are). If you're not sure of how to use lifting straps, then have a look on YouTube; there are very clear videos of how to use them.
