Snaps Rivet Grommet Prong Eyelet Popper Fastener Self Cover Fabric Button Hand Press Machine Set

This is a wonderful seller, and I love this bundled product! You can set snaps, rivets, and some specialty pieces. They even have a video to watch online to see how to use it! Some reviewers must not have seen the packaging that had the website on it. Wonderful product! And the seller is very responsive to messages and questions, so I highly recommend.

This appears to be a reasonably well-build, reasonably heavy-duty machine. It comes with a lot of parts (dies) for setting various kinds of eyelets, rivets, snaps, and (allegedly) grommets. It may well be a very useful and versatile device.But I can't tell, because is came with ZERO instructions. There was a parts list, sort of, but not even the simplest instructions for set-up or use were included. Since I'm a relative novice at this, I don't really know how to tell a snap-die from a grommet-die, or which end of the grommet goes in which part of the die. There are things on the press which can apparently be adjusted, but it is not at all obvious HOW you should adjust them, or WHY you would want to.In multiple trial-and-error attempts, I could not get it to set the particular size grommets I am using (3/16", 2-part), and have concluded that for all the "stuff" that came with this tool, the one size die set that I really needed is not to be found among it.An instruction manual would VASTLY improve the value of this tool.As it is, I'm sending mine back. Oh well . . .

I almost sent this press back. The rivet dies that came with it were not for double cap rivets. That was what I needed it for. The price is what made me keep it so I ordered a set of different sizes of dies. Now that I've used it I am happy with my purchase. It's not as big as I was expecting but it gets the job done.

I think I would like my little snap press if I could watch the video in English. Everyone I looked at was in a foreign language. Have not learned much about it yet.

After I figured this out it has been a game changer. However, no instructions were included. I had to order the dies I needed for rivets and wasn’t sure if they would fit the press, but seems to be universal. I haven’t tried grommets yet, that’s next.

I have pliers for setting small eyelets and a pair for snaps but they're kind of a pain and don't always set correctly so I was curious to see if a press would work better and be easier to use. I really like this machine! There isn't a paper manual but the bag has a sticker with the manufacturer's website and it has a ton of instructional videos for all the different setting tools, I watched the videos with the sound muted and it was still very clear how to use each piece. I tried out the two hole punches, two different sized eyelets/grommets, and the snap dies and they all worked perfectly. This was much easier than using a hammer and setting anvil and more accurate than my pliers. I also like that hardware is included to bolt the press to a table or other worktop. It's heavy enough that it didn't move around when I was using it but once I figure out where I want it to live I'll probably go ahead and bolt it down just to give it even more stability.There are less expensive presses on Amazon but they usually only have one type of setting tool included, if you work with a lot of different fasteners this is a great deal since it has so many dies included which really add up if you buy them separately. I'm very happy with this and with how easy it is to use.
